Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect leakage of gas from a gas pipe connected to each gas combustion apparatus before combustion is started, by providing a controller to drive solenoid valves, as well as to receive a signal from a gas pressure sensor fitted in the position of a gas pipe at the inlet of a combustion apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A gas pressure sensor 8 is provided between a gas control valve 10 to control gas rate to the burner 9 of a combustion apparatus together with a gas governer 11, and a gas pipe 7. A controller 12 drives a gas solenoid valve 6, as well as to receive a signal from the gas pressure sensor 8. Whether the inside of a gas pipe is under the specified pressure without gas leakage or not is checked in the non-combustion time before the burner gets into a combustion mode, in such a manner that a signal from the gas pressure sensor 8 is fed into the controller 12 in the state that a solenoid valve SV1 is opened and a solenoid valve SV2 is closed as long as a predetermined time (t1-t2). The gas pressure sensor 8 will not give a predetermined value to the controller even if gas leakage at the degree no enough to actuate a gas shut down mechanism is occurring, so that the controller 2 can decide gas leakage from the gas pipe line, and can close the solenoid valve 6 afterwards.

28-/゛Conventional structure and its problems As shown in Fig. 1, this type of conventional gas circuit safety device is activated when gas flows at a predetermined flow rate or higher into the gas pipe outlet 1. Gas was supplied through a gas cutoff mechanism 2 that shuts off the gas, and a gas piping 4 connected to the gas combustion appliance 3. 5 indicates a gas circuit inlet to the combustion appliance 3. However, in this configuration, the gas cutoff mechanism 2 is activated to maintain safety when a large amount of gas is released, such as when a gas piping fitting is disconnected, so it cannot be used with ordinary indoor gas fittings. However, if a rubber hose used as a rubber hose cracks in the middle and slowly leaks, it may not work.

Structure of the Invention 3B-7 To achieve this object, the present invention provides a gas cutoff solenoid valve at a gas piping outlet, a gas piping fitting for connecting the solenoid valve and the gas combustion appliance, and a gas circuit for the combustion appliance. The gas pressure detector is equipped with a gas pressure detector attached to the inlet, and a controller that manually inputs a signal from the gas pressure detector and drives the electromagnetic valve. This configuration has the effect that gas leaks in gas piping can be detected.

FIG. 4 is a timing chart showing how the gas circuit safety device of the present invention shown in FIG. 3 is operated in a predetermined mode to detect the presence or absence of gas leakage on the gas piping. Here, the gas cutoff electromagnetic valve installed at the pipe outlet is designated as SV1, and the gas control valve in the gas combustion appliance is designated as SV2. The elapsed time is shown on the horizontal axis, and when the combustion appliance is not in combustion mode and is not in combustion mode, SVl is opened for a predetermined time (11 to t2) and SV2 is closed, and the signal from the gas pressure detector 8 is detected. is input, and it is determined whether the pressure inside the pipe is such that there is no gas leakage on the gas pipe.

If a gas leak occurs to a degree that does not cause the gas cutoff mechanism to operate, the gas pressure detector will not indicate a predetermined value, and the controller 12 will determine whether there is a gas leak on the gas piping or not. This can be determined, and the electromagnetic valve 6 can then be closed to prevent combustion.

Gas leaks on the gas piping from the gas piping outlet to each individual gas combustion appliance can be detected before the appliance is fired. In particular, gas fan heaters and the like used indoors are carried from room to room, and gas pipes must be installed each time, so there is a high probability that mistakes will occur during the work. moreover,
Since rubber hoses and the like have a short service life and are prone to cracking and gas leakage, the use of this device has a great effect on ensuring safety.
