Claims (1)
態に応じて前段のターボ過給機から順次後段のタ
ーボ過給機に排気通路を介してエンジン排気を供
給し駆動するようにしたマルチターボ過給装置に
おいて、前記排気通路を前記前段のターボ過給機
用の第1排気通路と前記後段のターボ過給機用の
第2排気通路とに分岐し、少なくとも前記第1排
気通路に前記前段のターボ過給機を側路させるバ
イパス通路を設けて該バイパス通路に側路弁を配
設し、前記第2排気通路には開閉弁を配設して、
前記側路弁および前記開閉弁を前記前段のターボ
過給機からの吐出空気圧および前記排気通路の排
気圧によつて制御するようになし、前記前段のタ
ーボ過給機からの吐出空気圧が所定の過給圧に達
すると、前記側路弁の開度を前記所定の過給圧が
持続されるように制御し、前記排気圧が所定の圧
力に達すると、前記側路弁を閉成して前記開閉弁
を開放し、前記後段のターボ過給機に前記エンジ
ン排気を供給するようにしたことを特徴とするマ
