Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain images with high quality without using any negative original, by a method wherein IR rays are transmitted through an original provided with images formed of a light-shielding materials and through an ink sheet, and an ink left on the ink sheet is transferred onto an image-receiving paper. CONSTITUTION:The original 12 comprises a base 10 and a light-shielding material 11, while the ink sheet 15 comprises a thermal recording ink 14 and a support 13. The original 12 and the ink sheet 15 are laid on each other so that the material 11 makes contact with the ink 14, the laminate is placed on a base for a flash lamp with the base 10 in contact with the flash lamp base, and is irradiated with IR rays 16, whereby the IR rays are transmitted through only the parts devoid of the material 11 to be absorbed into the ink 14, which is thereby melted and is adhered to the base 14. Next, the ink sheet 15 is laid on the image-receiving paper 17 (ordinary paper) with the ink 14 in contact with the paper 17, and the laminate is passed through heated rollers, whereby the ink 14 is transferred onto the image-receiving paper 17. で、原稿の画像を光熱変換材で形成する必要がなくカラ
ーの原稿でも用いることができ、ポジ原稿を用いて品質
の良い画像を得ることができる。
