Abstract

PURPOSE:A hair tonic cosmetic that contains, as hair tonic components, minoxidil and an antiandrogen, thus showing unique stimulation of hair growth. CONSTITUTION:The objective hair tonic cosmetic contains, as hair tonic components, (A) minoxidil (2,4-diamino-6-piperidinopyrimidine-3-oxide) which has been used as a hypotensor and (B) an antiandrogen which has been used for treatment of prostate cancer as antitestosterone. The resultant hair tonic shows much stronger hair tonic effect than, when each component is used separately. The amount of both components used is 0.1-1wt% in A and 0.25-2.5wt% in B.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Field of Industrial Application The present invention relates to a hair-growth cosmetic that exhibits a specifically effective hair growth promoting effect by combining two types of known compounds.

Prior Art and Problems, α The present inventor previously discovered that minoxidil (2,4-zoami7-6-beveridi/methylpyrimidine-3-oxide), which has been used as an antihypertensive agent, has a hair-restoring effect. At the outset, in Japanese Patent No. 1156-185934, a hair nourishing cosmetic containing the compound as an active ingredient was disclosed.

The present inventor has attempted various studies with the aim of improving the above-mentioned hair-growth cosmetics, and has completed the present invention by focusing on the fact that hair loss is more common among men.

It is possible to obtain a cosmetic product that has a much better hair-nourishing effect than a cosmetic product containing these ingredients alone. This will be explained in detail below.

Anti-androgiens are anti-male hormones and are drugs used to treat prostate cancer.

The amount of minoxidil blended into the cosmetic base is approximately 0.1 to 1% by weight of the cosmetic base, and the amount of anti-androgenic agent is in the range of 0.25 to 2.5%. Test examples and manufacturing examples showing the hair-nourishing effect of the cosmetics of the present application are listed below.
