Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 、本発明はガソリンの燃焼時に発生するＮＯｘを低減せ
しめる改良剤）ζ関するものである。即ち、乳酸メチル
、乳酸エチルおよび乳酸ブチルなどの乳酸化合物をガソ
リンに添加するとＮＯｘを著しく低減せしめ得ることが
判明した。
ガソリンを燃料とする自動車、トラクターおよびブルド
ーザ−などはＮＯｘの低減に種々の装置が考案されてい
るが未だ決定的な製品は開発されていない。
本発明はガソリンに乳酸化合物を添加し、ＮＯｘを低減
せしめるもので、斯界に全くその例を児ない。これら乳
酸化合物はガソリンに可溶で僅か重量で０．０００５’
Ａ添加するだけでＮＯｘを著しく低減せしめることが判
明した。
以下実施例を以って説明する。

排ガス中のＮＯｘ値を次に示す。

０．０００５％添加したものは１８７ＰＰＭ　、乳酸ブ
チルを０．００５％添加したものは１６６ＰＰＭとなっ
た。
以上のように本発明のＮＯｘ改良剤は非常に微量の添加
にかかわらずＮＯｘを半分以下に低減せしめることが判
明した。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 乳酸メチルおよび乳酸エチルなどの乳酸化合物をガソリ
    ンに添加し、ガソリンの燃焼時に生ずるＮＯｘを低減せ
    しめることを特徴とするＮＯｘの改良剤。
