[Detailed description of the invention] The present invention relates to the structure of a horizontal traveler for spinning machines, which is used in spinning machines such as spinning machines and yarn twisting machines, and has both stability and flexibility for spinning cotton synthetic fibers, synthetic fibers, cotton, etc. be. Traditionally, horizontal travelers for spinning machines include an oval (O-shaped) traveler 1 and a box-shaped (D-shaped) traveler 2, as shown in Figure 1 A and B. This type of traveler is used when thread breakage is likely to occur and stable travel and a certain degree of flexibility are required. There are disadvantages such as the thread being caught in the thread, resulting in thread fuzz and thread breakage. The latter traveler is made of cotton synthetic fiber with a slightly longer fiber length than the yarn used above.
It is used for spinning and twisting chemical fibers, and it lowers the center of gravity and increases the contact area with the ring, making it possible to run almost stably. There is a drawback that thread breakage or melting threads may occur without being able to resist when the threads are high. In addition, in order to solve the above two drawbacks of the traveler, a low-medium center of gravity type traveler that combines a flat oval shape and a box shape has been devised, but the flexibility of the yarn passing section is still not fully satisfied, and There are problems such as variations in tension and yarn breakage and increase in yarn fuzz during high-speed spinning. The present invention has been developed in view of these problems, and as a result, it has a good contact condition with the ring and is suitable for stable running at high speeds, and has also expanded the area of the yarn passing section, and is able to follow fluctuations in the spinning tension. To provide a horizontal traveler for a spinning machine that can exhibit excellent effects in reducing yarn breakage, yarn fuzz, and extending life in medium to fine count cotton synthetic fibers. An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. Fig. 2 is a front view of a horizontal traveler for a spinning machine which is an embodiment of the present invention, and Fig. 3 A and B are X--X in Fig. 2.
It is a Y enlarged sectional view. That is, Traveler Circle 3
The head a is formed by a metal wire such as a hard steel wire or an alloy steel wire with a semi-circular cross section 3 or a flat wire 4 into a large curve with a radius of curvature R 1 having a gentle upward bulge. The radius of curvature R 2 of the opposing side parts 5
A thread passing portion b having a curve with a smaller curvature than the above-mentioned head of
and a curved upper part c of the leg having a radius of curvature R3 smaller than that of the thread passage part, and the leg end d continuing to the upper part of the leg is formed by a straight line 5 that slopes inwardly and downwardly, Furthermore, the radii of curvature of the head a, the thread passage part b, and the upper leg part c have a relationship of a>b>c, and the ratio is
3.5:1.5:1.0 (3.6:1.6:1.1 to 3.4:1.4:0.9)
Furthermore, the ratio of the height h 1 of the leg tip S + leg upper part R 3 to the height h 2 of the head a + thread passage part b is 1:
0.9 to 1:1.8 (preferably 1:1.2 to 1:1.6)
A horizontal traveler for a spinning machine with a low center of gravity, a large inner pocket, and a thread passage section expanded to almost the area e of the head was formed. Incidentally, the surface of the traveler may be coated with a coating film 6 made of a low-frictional or lubricating metal or resin, or a mixture of both. A spinning test was conducted using the traveler of the present invention constructed as described above and a conventional box-shaped traveler under the following conditions. Fiber: Cotton/Ester 45′ S Traveler: 4/0 Spindle rotation speed: 16000r.pm Lift: 7″ Ring diameter: 45φmm As a result of the test, the number of yarn breakages (strands/400sp/hr) of the traveler of this invention is 1~ 2, compared to the conventional Traveler, which was reduced to 4 to 5, which was approximately halved, and as shown in Figure 4, the Traveler of the present invention resulted in a considerable reduction in yarn fluff compared to the conventional Traveler. The thread passing section has been expanded to the head area, and both sides are formed by three continuous curves with a radius of curvature that gradually decreases from the head, making the inner pocket larger and having a low center of gravity that allows stable contact with the traveler. Because of the structure, the thread is not constrained by fluctuations in ballooning and passes between e and d at a free angle, reducing frictional resistance with the traveler and reducing the risk of the thread being squeezed. There is no longer any fear of scratches and abrasion. Therefore, yarn fuzz and yarn breakage are reduced, the traveler can run stably, and its lifespan is extended. This is a device that has practical effects.
