The present invention relates to the structure of a horizontal traveler for spinning machines used in spinning machines such as spinning machines and twisting machines, and is particularly designed to stabilize the spinning of medium to fine counts in cotton and synthetic fiber spinning and reduce yarn fuzz. The purpose is to Conventionally, horizontal travelers for spinning machines include an oval O-shaped traveler 1 and a box-shaped traveler 2, as shown in Figure 1 A and B. It is used when stable running and a certain degree of flexibility are required, and it is constructed so that the contact area between the ring and the traveler is small. However, this type of traveler has a drawback that the center of gravity is very high, making it unstable to glide, the traveler is easily blown away, and the thread gets caught between the traveler and the ring, causing thread fuzz and thread breakage. In addition, the latter traveler lowers the center of gravity and increases the contact area with cotton synthetic fibers, spun and twisted yarns of synthetic fibers and chemical fibers, which have slightly longer fiber lengths than the yarns used in the former, making it possible to run stably at high speeds. However, it has good stability but lacks flexibility, so when the strength of the spun yarn is large or small, or the spinning tension is high, there are disadvantages such as yarn breakage without breaking or melting yarn. It will be done. The present invention eliminates these conventional drawbacks, and provides a spinning machine that has the flexibility to follow changes in the strength of the spun yarn and the spinning tension, thereby stabilizing spinning and improving yarn quality. The present invention provides a horizontal traveler for use. An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. As shown in Figures 2 and 3, a traveler circle is made of metal wire such as thin-walled hard steel wire or alloy steel wire with a semicircular cross section.
The upper part of 3 is formed by an upwardly bulging curve R to form a head a, and the opposite side parts 4 following the head a are a thread passing part b with a curvature of R 1 and a leg part with a curvature radius of R 2 . c is formed by connecting it with a straight line d that slopes upward and inward at an inclination angle θ = 2° to 10°, and the tip e of the leg that continues to the side part is inclined inwardly and downward at an angle θ 2 of 10° to 20°. A symmetrical horizontal traveler for a spinning machine is constructed, in which a straight line portion is formed, and the curvature R 1 of the yarn passing portion b on both sides is larger than the curvature R 2 of the leg portion c. The radius of curvature R 2 of the leg part c is 0.8 to 1.2 mm, and the radius of curvature R 1 of the thread passage part b is 1.0 to 1.5 mm. c:b=
Form to a ratio of 1:1.1 or more. Also, the inclined straight line d on the side
The dimension ratio between the height H of the traveler and the height H of the traveler is 1:4 to 1:
It is preferable to have a ratio of 7 to 7, and the surface is coated with nickel plating 5 to improve the dissipation of frictional heat, or a synthetic resin coating containing Teflon resin or MoS 2 is applied to the surface to improve lubricity. Good too. A spinning test was conducted using the traveler constructed as described above under the following conditions.

The results of the spinning test are shown in Figure 4 (denotes the conventional box-type traveler, and indicates the inventive traveler).
When tested under the same conditions, the horizontal traveler for spinning machines of the present invention shows the effectiveness of its mid-low center of gravity design, and maintains stable spinning with a limited number of thread breakages. FIG. 5 also shows a comparison of the occurrence of fuzz in cotton combed yarn and cotton/ester yarn, which were tested under the same conditions. Compared to the conventional box-type traveler, the traveler of this invention has about 30 to 60% less yarn fuzz. As described above, according to the configuration of the present invention, the overall shape is intermediate between an ellipse and a box shape, and the center of gravity is designed to be at a middle and low position. This, together with the cross-sectional shape of the traveler, stabilizes the gliding condition. A curvature greater than the leg curvature R 2 following a straight line that slopes inwards and upwards.
Since the thread passage part b is formed by the curve R1 , the wear of the ring is reduced by providing a straight part in the forward leaning position, and the thread passage part is increased, so the thread can move freely. There is no need to get caught between ring travelers. In addition, it exhibits flexibility against fluctuations in the spinning tension and strength of the spun yarn, so it exhibits a very stable state especially when spinning medium- to fine-count cotton and synthetic fibers. The number of broken threads and the number of thread fuzz are reduced, resulting in a high quality thread. This is a great idea with practical value, such as increasing the lifespan due to stable running.
