Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 この発明は、合成繊維糸あるいは合成繊維と天然繊維
の混紡糸で織成或いは編成したファスナーテープのエレ
メント取付縁部に孔を穿設し、該孔と対応する位置に合
成樹脂もしくは金属の溶湯を射出してエレメントを成形
することによりエレメントの上下両脚部を前記孔に通じ
たブリッジでファスナーテープに一体に連結してあるス
ライドファスナー用ストリンカーの製造方法に関するも
ので、その目的は、ファスナーテープに孔を明ける際に
、取付けるべきエレメントのピッチに応じて正確に孔を
明けることが出来、明けられた孔が所定の形状面積を以
つて保持され得ると共に、孔の縁より糸ほつれを起こす
ことがないように処理され、エレメントを射出成形する
際に、多数のエレメントを一挙に成形出来、夫々殆んど
同一の条件をもつエレメントの固着力が得られ、良好な
信頼性の高い製品に仕上げることの出来るスライドファ
スナー用ストリンカーの製造方法を提供することにある
この種のファスナーストリンカーを製造する場合には
、ファスナーテープのエレメント固着側縁部に孔を明け
、次いで孔の位置にエレメントを射出成形するものであ
つて、孔を明ける従来の手段として、ポンチによるか錐
て差し拡げる技術が知られている。
しカルポンチによる場合は、明けた当座は良いがファス
ナーテープに製造上引張力を与える結果、明けた孔の縁
より糸ほつれが生じ孔が必要以上に大きくなる欠点が生
じるものである。また、錐による場合には、錐でファス
ナーテープを構成する糸乃至繊維を押し拡げたに過ぎな
いので、暫くの間に孔の面積が縮まるか塞がれて仕舞う
ものであるから、1個の孔を明けてから直ちにその部分
を金型内に送つて射出成形するか、あるいは、金型内で
ファスナーテープを挾み込むと同時に錐を差し込み、該
錐を引き戻しながら溶湯を注入する方法が、米国特許第
2041848号(CL22−202)、同じく米国特
許第2735139号(CL18−59)の明細書によ
つて提案されている。しかし、前者の金型外で孔を開け
る方法ではエレメントを1個あて成形することになるた
め、能率が非常に悪くなるものであり、後者の金型内で
孔を明ける方法によれば、金型の構造が複雑になると共
に、金型を動かす運動の外に錐を動かす運動が必要とな
り、しかも両者の方法に共通することは、孔の明け具合
に不揃が生じエレメント脚部を連結すべきブリッジに大
小が生じることから、エレメントの固着強度に信頼性が
乏しいものであつた。この発明は上記従来の欠点に対処
するために研究され開発されたものであつて、ファスナ
ーテープのエレメント固着側縁部を、超音波ホーンとア
ンビルの突歯て挾持し、該挾持した部分を溶融して孔を
明けたことを特徴とするものである。
そこで、この発明による実施例によつて具体的に説明す
ると、第3図に示される如く、長尺のファスナーテープ
tをフィードロール1,2で送り込む間に、テンション
ロール3によりテープtに一定のテンションを付与し、
ガイド4を通じて該テープtを孔明け工程へ送る。孔明
け工程では、超音波ホーン6を第4図図示の如く、送行
しているテープtに接触する状態に配設し、該超音波ホ
ーン6の上方にアンビル7を備える。アンビル7はロー
ルの如く円形を成し中心部でモータ等の回転駆動軸と連
結して回転力を与えられ、且つ外周面に歯車の如く多数
の突歯8を等間隔におき突設してあり、その間隔は第1
図図示の如く、テープtに固着すべきエレメントeのピ
ッチpに応じて設定され、且つ突歯8が超音波ホーン6
と直角に対面した際に、突歯8の端面が超音波ホーン6
に接触するように設けてあつて、以上の超音波ホーン6
とアンビル7との間にテープtを送り込み、テープtの
エレメント固着側縁部に順次孔hを超音波ホーン6によ
り発する熱と突歯8のテープt内に突入する押圧力とに
より溶融して穿設する。続いて、穿設された孔hを固定
する作業を施す。即ち、孔hを明けられたテープtを突
歯8が孔hに突入された状態のま)アンビル7の外周に
付着させて所定区間9送り、この間9にテープtを自然
冷却乃至強制冷却手段により冷却して、明けられた孔h
の形状を固定する。次にテープtをアンビル7より外す
作業を行なう。
溶融によつて孔hを明けたものであるからテープtがア
ンビル7に付着しているので、アンビル7と逆方向に回
転するガイドロール10並びに該ガイドロール10とア
ンビル7間に差し込んだ状態でスクレツパー11を設け
ておき、該スクレツパー11で確実にアンビル7よりテ
ープtを外して次工程へ送る。尚、スクレツパー11内
にノズル孔12を明けて、ノズル孔12よりアンビル7
に冷気(常温の空気で良い)を噴射してアンビル7を冷
却する。こうして孔明け加工されたテープtはピッチ測
定器13を通過して再び別設のフィードロール14,1
5により送出される。
続いてテープtにエレメントeを射出成形する工程に移
るが、孔明け工程とエレメント成形工程とのテープtの
送り量が異なるため、前記最終のフィードロール14,
15より送出したテープtは貯溜され、改めてエレメン
ト成形工程に移るように送られる。そこで、該工程ては
、上下一対の金型16,17でテープtを挾み溶湯を金
型内へ注入して第1図と第2図に示す如く、孔hに対応
してエレメントeが成形されるが、金型16,17は、
後の製品化されるスライドファスナーの単位長さ間に必
要とされる所要数のエレメントを短尺物のスライドファ
スナーに対しては一挙に、又長尺物のスライドファスナ
ーに対しては数回射出と送りを繰り返して成形できるよ
うに形成してある。以上の工程によつて成形されるスラ
イドファスナー用ストリンガーfは、第1図図示の如く
、テープtのエレメント固着側縁部に溶融穿設した孔h
に対応してエレメントeを射出成形したものであるから
、孔h内に溶湯が充填され、第2図に示されるように、
上下の脚部が孔hを貫通するブリッジbで一体に連結さ
れるものである。
この発明によるスライドファスナー用ストリンガーの製
造方法は、ファスナーテープに一定のテンションを与え
ながら送る間に、テープのエレメント固着側縁部に孔を
超音波ホーンとアンビルの突歯とによつて溶融穿設し、
孔を明けた後テープを冷却して孔を固定してから、該孔
に対応してエレメントを射出成形して仕上げられるもの
で、テープに取付けるべきエレメントのピッチに応じて
突歯を配設することにより、所定の間隔ごとに孔を正確
に明けることが出来るものであり、また、孔は超音波ホ
ーンにより発生する熱と突歯とによつて溶融して明けら
れるものであるから、突歯の太さを一定に形成しておく
ことにより、孔は一定の大きさに明けられ、しかも孔明
け後、孔に突歯を係合した状態で冷却する期間を置くた
め、孔は所定の大きさに保持されると共に、孔の縁は溶
融された繊維の凝固物によつて固定され、テープを構成
する糸や繊維のほつれを阻止するものである。
また、正確に所定の大きさに明けた孔に対してエレメン
トを射出成形するため、各エレメントのブリッジも一定
になり、テープに対する取付強度が夫々一定化されると
同時に、強固に固着され、極めて良質なフアスナースト
リンガーとして仕上げられるものである。更に本方法に
よれば簡単な構造で装置化されると共に、フアスナース
トリンガーは連続的に能率よく製造される効果を奏する

第1図はこの発明によるスライドファスナー用ストリン
ガーの製造方法によつて、テープよりストリンガーに仕
上げられる状態を示す平面図、第2図は本発明方法によ
つて仕上げられたストリンガーの拡大断面図、第3図は
本発明方法を実施する装置を示す側面図、第4図は同じ
く孔明け工程を施す部分の装置を拡大して示す断面図で
ある。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 1 一定テンションの下で送られてくるファスナーテー
    プのエレメント固着側縁部を超音波ホーンとアンビルの
    突歯とで挾持して、挾持されたテープ縁部に一定間隔ご
    とに前記超音波ホーンと突歯とによつて孔を溶融穿設す
