Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、感光体又は感光紙を用いるノンインパクトプ
リンタに使用する露光ヘッドに関し、特に、発光ダイオ
ード・アレイ・チップを用いた発光ダイオード露光ヘッ
ドに関する。
従来、この種の発光ダイオード（ＬＦｉＤ）アレイヘッ
ドは、全ったく別々にマウントされた２列のＬＥＤアレ
イチップからの光を２組の光学系を用いて感光体あるい
は感光紙上に結像させあたかも一列のＬＥＤアレイチッ
プからの露光であるかのように機能させる方式を取って
いた。
したがって、２組の光学系のバランスの問題はもちろん
２列に並ぶＬＬ３Ｄアレイチップのアラインメント調整
が非常にむずかしく、なおかっ、一旦焦点がズレると、
印字あるいは露光品位上、致命的欠陥を生ずる欠点を有
していた。
本発明は、ＬＥＤアレイチップそのものを精密に切断し
、さらに高精度に整列させることにより上記光学的問題
点を解決し、より調整と、露光品、　位の維持の容易な
ＬＥＩ）ｊｉ１光ヘッドを提供する。
本発明は１発光ドツトの近傍で精密に切断したＬＩｌｉ
３Ｄアレイチップを、すくなくとも１発光ドツト中心間
の距離の１／２以下に相隣接するＬＰ！Ｄチップ側面間
を接近させて、Ｉ、ＥＤアレイチップを並べて固定する
事により、第一の最大なＬＥＤアレイチップを使用した
と同等の効果を与える事が出来る。
また、ＬＥＤアレイチップは、それ単体でも、あるいは
ＬｇＤアレイチップをマウントしたＬＥＤアレイモジュ
ールとしてもその整列が可能である。
次に本発明の実施例について、図面を用いて説明する。
第１図を参照すると、基板４の上にはＬｇＤアレイチッ
プ１．抵抗アレイチップ２．シフ）−レジスタチップ３
がそれぞれ銀ペースト等によりマウントされている。
これを、仮にＬＥＤアレイモジュールと名付けるとする
と、第２図はＬＥＤ露光ヘッドの構成を示し、ＬＦ３Ｄ
アレイモジュールはＬＢＤアレイチップが、たとえば発
光ドツト間距離が１０θμとすれば、ＬＥ’Ｄチップ間
の距離７は１０〜５０μになる様にベース・バー６の上
に整列接着されている。
本発明は以上説明したように、ＬＤＢアレイチップを精
密に切断し、さらに、−列に高精度で整列接着する事に
よ！１１、ｉＤ露光ヘッドの組立調整の容易化が計れる
ばかりでなく、ヘッドの小型化・軽量化・機械面での高
信頼化を得られる効果がある。
