Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent water-leakage, by forming the vehicle compartment side face of a dam rubber with the use of materials having volatility so that water which enters due to capillary action and reaches the dam rubber is prevented from entering into he vehicle compartment by utilizing the surface tension of water. CONSTITUTION:A dam rubber 10 integrally formed with the use of volatile materials is applied on the end edge part 3a of a window glass 3 onto which an adhesive 5 is jetted from the nozzle tip of a sealant gun to be coated thereon in the part outside of the dam rubber 10. Then, the glass coated with the adhesive 5 is pressed against a window frame 2. Thereby, water W entering into between a window molding and a vehicle body 1 penetrates into a gap S due to capllary action, and further, reaches the rubber 10. However, the surface tension of water is large since the dam 10 has a volitility, and therefore, water may not enter into a vehicle compartment.

Embodiment Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the same reference numerals to the same parts and members as those of the conventional structure described above. That is, as shown in FIG. 3, a dam rubber 10 is attached to the edge of the window glass 3. The dumb rubber 10
As shown in FIG. 4, it has an adhesive portion 10a that is attached to the windshield 3, and the edge of the adhesive portion 10a on the side of the vehicle interior 7 is bent toward the vehicle interior 7, and is further attached to the vehicle interior. A shielding part iob is provided which is curved in the outdoor direction, and is integrally molded from a suitable water-repellent material.

Such a window glass 3 is manufactured by spraying adhesive 5 from the nozzle tip of a sealant gun (not shown) and applying it to the window glass edge 3a outside the dam rubber 10, as shown in FIG. 3 (ARK). As shown in FIG. 3(B)K, the window glass 3 coated with the adhesive 5 is pressed against the window frame 2. At this time, the windshield 3 is pressed against the window frame 2 to prevent leakage of the light beam due to seams or calligraphy. A fine gap S is created between the clearance agent 5 and the wind frame 2.

In this embodiment having the above configuration, water W that has entered between the wind molding (not shown) and the vehicle body 1 enters into the gap S due to capillary action, and further reaches the dam rubber 10. However, since the dam rubber 10 is integrally molded from a water-repellent material, the dam rubber 10
The surface tension of water W on the surface becomes large. Therefore, water cannot enter into the single compartment 7 through the dam rubber 10, and pond water can be reliably prevented from entering the vehicle compartment.

FIG. 5 shows a second embodiment of the present invention, in which the dumb rubber 11 is made of a non-water repellent material.
1a, and a coating layer 11b which is adhered to the outer surface of the vehicle interior of the dumb rubber main body 11 and is made of a water-repellent material. In such an embodiment as well, the coating layer 11b
This increases the surface tension of water that has entered the vehicle and prevents shallow water from entering the vehicle seat. In this embodiment, the coating layer 11 is applied only to the outer surface of the cabin of the dumb rubber body 11a.
b is provided, but the covering layer 11b may be provided over the entire dumb rubber body 11a. Also, the dumb rubber body 11
When a is molded from an open-cell material, it is also possible to impregnate it with a water-repellent material.

FIG. 6(2) shows a third embodiment of the present invention, in which the dam rubber 12 is molded from a water-repellent material, and as shown in an enlarged view in FIG. A large number of air holes 12a communicating inside and outside are provided. In such an embodiment, when the window glass 3 is pressed against the window frame 2 as shown in the third drawing, an air pocket a may be generated between the dam rubber 4 and the adhesive 50. At this time, since the dam rubber 12 according to this embodiment is provided with air holes 12a, the air in the air pocket a is transferred to the air holes 12a.
Leakage from M into the single room 7. Therefore, due to the presence of the air pocket a, the adhesive 5 may protrude from the edge of the windshield 3, or the air in the air pocket a expands while the adhesive 5 is not hardened, causing the windshield 3 and the adhesive 5 to expand. It is also possible to prevent the material from falling out between the material and the material and from creating a gap.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION As described in detail, the present invention is characterized in that at least the outside surface of the vehicle interior of the dam 2 part is molded with a water-repellent material. When a gap is created and water passes through the gap and reaches the dam rubber, this water has a large surface tension due to the water repellency of the dam rubber. For this reason, water cannot penetrate into the passenger compartment through the dam rubber, completely preventing shallow water from entering the passenger compartment.
