Description
【発明の詳細な説明】
本発明は施工現場におけるプラスチック管の製造方法に
関し、詳細には運搬あるいは保管に便利な様にコンパク
トな形状にされた材料を使用し、施工現場において容易
に管体として造シあげる仁とのできる方法に関するもの
である。

種々の配管工事に使用されるプラスチック管(以下管と
いう)は工場において定尺物として製造される。一方施
工現場においては管継手等を介して上記定尺管を接続し
、用途に応じた長さの配管を形成している。

ところで管は流体通過部分を空洞部として形成するもの
であるから元々嵩高いものであシ殊に大径管になる程嵩
高さは増大する。その為トラック等の搬送手段に載せて
運搬する場合にも1回当たシの搬送量の増大は望めず効
率的な搬送ができないと共に、保管する場合にも広大な
敷地あるいは空間を必要とする。又施工現場においては
定尺管を必要に応じて接続するので接続作業に多大な労
力を必要とし、勿論管継手の準備も必要になってくる。

高さは増大する。その為トラック等の搬送手段に載せて
運搬する場合にも1回当たシの搬送量の増大は望めず効
率的な搬送ができないと共に、保管する場合にも広大な
敷地あるいは空間を必要とする。又施工現場においては
定尺管を必要に応じて接続するので接続作業に多大な労
力を必要とし、勿論管継手の準備も必要になってくる。
本発明者等は上記事情をかねてより憂慮し色々と研究を
進めていたととる搬送及び保管時には嵩を小さくするこ
とのできる帯状物とし、施工時に該帯状物を幅方向に湾
曲させ且つ突き合わせ部を密着させて管を形成すること
ができれば問題点を一挙に解消し得るのではないかとの
期待を抱くに至った。しかるに帯状物を管状に湾曲する
ことができる為にはまず材料面で制約があると共に実際
問題として管状に湾曲させる操作は必ずしも容易でない
ばかシか、例えば帯状物を単に加熱し湾曲させて得た管
状物においては内部応力が残留して強度が低下するとい
う欠点があることを知った。

をはかり、且つ管の施工操作自体を簡便にしようとする
ものである。

しかして上記目的を達成した本発明方法は、熱可塑性プ
ラスチック管をガラス転移点と融点の間の温度で切シ開
いて帯状とした後常温まで冷却して得た帯状物を、施工
時にガラス転移点以上に加熱して管状に戻し、突き合わ
せ部を融着する点に要旨を有するものである。

熱可塑性プラスチックの溶融状態における分子配列は異
方性に富んでおり、冷却されるにつれて自由度を失って
分子配列が定まってくる。殊にいったんガラス転移点以
上の温度まで加熱された後で冷却したものでは分子配列
は固定され易く変形が極めて困難になシ、例えば平板状
に押出成形したプラスチック板をいったん冷却した後こ
れを加熱軟化して管状に湾曲させようとしても多大な強
制力を必要とすると共に、この強制力をとシさると元の
平板に戻ってしまい、又無理に変形させると破断する。

即ち本発明は熱可塑性プラスチック製品の分子配列が押
出成形時にはほぼ決定されると共に該プラスチック製品
を変形させた後加熱昇温させると押出成形時の形状に戻
るという性質を利用したものであって、その実施に当た
ってはまず常法に従い熱可塑性管の押出成形を行なう。

次いで該押出成形管をガラス転移点以上であって融点以
下の温度に保持しながら長手方向に直線状に(あるいは
らせん状に)切シ開いて帯状物とした後これを例えばコ
イル状に巻取って冷却し、現場施工用の管形成材料とす
る。次いで現場施工に当たっては例えば第4図に示す様
な装置を用いて管の製造を行なう。尚図中の1はコイル
状帯状物、2は熱風ボックス、3は外径ガイド、4は融
着機、5は内径ガイド、Pは製造された管を夫々示す。
下の温度に保持しながら長手方向に直線状に(あるいは
らせん状に)切シ開いて帯状物とした後これを例えばコ
イル状に巻取って冷却し、現場施工用の管形成材料とす
る。次いで現場施工に当たっては例えば第4図に示す様
な装置を用いて管の製造を行なう。尚図中の1はコイル
状帯状物、2は熱風ボックス、3は外径ガイド、4は融
着機、5は内径ガイド、Pは製造された管を夫々示す。
即ちコイル状帯状物1を熱風ボックス2に収納し加熱し
て軟化させると共に矢印A方向に引き出すと帯状物1a
の両端は前記押出成形時の管形状に戻ろうとして自然と
内側へ湾曲する。次いで図示しない挟圧ローラ等を用い
てこれに若干の強制力を加え更に湾に設けた外径ガイド
3に導入j h、jj 72WFx移点以上まで昇温さ
せ、その結果はぼ元の管形状に戻った帯状物1aの端部
同士を突き合わせ、更にとの管状帯状物1bを融着機4
に導入して突き合わせ部を融着する。こうして得られた
管Pを冷却し、必要があれば所望長さに切断して施工用
管を得る。

本発明方法の基本構成は上記の通シであるが、帯状物1
が、第2図に示す様に押出成形管P′を回転させながら
矢印B部分でらせん状に切シ開いてコイル状に巻き取シ
冷却したものである場合には、施工に際して切り開き時
とは反対方向に巻き戻す様に帯状物を突き合わせ、該突
き合わせ部を融着して管を形成すればよい。尚押出成形
管P′の切シ開きを容易にする為には押出成形に当たっ
て第3図に示す様なスリット6を管Pに形成することが
望まれる。
が、第2図に示す様に押出成形管P′を回転させながら
矢印B部分でらせん状に切シ開いてコイル状に巻き取シ
冷却したものである場合には、施工に際して切り開き時
とは反対方向に巻き戻す様に帯状物を突き合わせ、該突
き合わせ部を融着して管を形成すればよい。尚押出成形
管P′の切シ開きを容易にする為には押出成形に当たっ
て第3図に示す様なスリット6を管Pに形成することが
望まれる。
一方施工時に使用される帯状物1の加熱手段については
特に制限は々く、電熱ヒータ等の汎用手段を適用すれば
よい。

次に帯状物1を昇温し湾曲させて得た管状帯状物1bの
突き合わせ部を融着する手段としては、例えば第4図に
示す様に突き合わされる直前の帯状物端部同士の隙間に
断面形状が三角形のヒータ4aが挿入される様に配置し
端部を加熱昇温させた後管状帯状物1bを矢印C方向に
挟圧して突き合わせ部を密着させる手段が例示される。
突き合わせ部を融着する手段としては、例えば第4図に
示す様に突き合わされる直前の帯状物端部同士の隙間に
断面形状が三角形のヒータ4aが挿入される様に配置し
端部を加熱昇温させた後管状帯状物1bを矢印C方向に
挟圧して突き合わせ部を密着させる手段が例示される。
又上記ヒータ4aに代えて突き合わされる前の帯状物端
部同士の隙間にホットジェットヒータを指向させて加熱
昇温を行なってもよい。その他、融着手段としては誘導
加熱、誘電加熱、マイクロ波加熱、超音波加熱等を利用
することもできる。誘導加熱を利用する場合には第5図
に示す様に管P′を押出成形する際に切シ開き部に相当
する部分7の近傍を導電性プラスチックで形成しておき
、矢印り部分から切り開いて一点鎖線で示す様な平板状
とし、これを紙面貫通方向に巻取って冷却し管形成用帯
状物とする。そして施工時に該管形成用帯状物を前記と
同様に第1図に示される様な管製造装置で湾曲させ更に
誘導加熱式融着機−に通すと突き合わせ部分が簡単に融
着される。尚上記導電性プラスチックとしては熱可塑性
プラスチックにしんちゆう、鉄、アルミニウム、銅等の
金属ファイバーを混合したものが例示される。又本発明
に係る熱可塑性プラスチックとしては例えばPvClP
E、PP、PB等のプラスチック材料が例示され、各材
料を用いて形成した管形成用帯状物を加熱して管状に戻
すに当たっては各材料のガラス転移点以上であって且つ
各材料の融点以下の温度に加熱・昇温させればよい。
部同士の隙間にホットジェットヒータを指向させて加熱
昇温を行なってもよい。その他、融着手段としては誘導
加熱、誘電加熱、マイクロ波加熱、超音波加熱等を利用
することもできる。誘導加熱を利用する場合には第5図
に示す様に管P′を押出成形する際に切シ開き部に相当
する部分7の近傍を導電性プラスチックで形成しておき
、矢印り部分から切り開いて一点鎖線で示す様な平板状
とし、これを紙面貫通方向に巻取って冷却し管形成用帯
状物とする。そして施工時に該管形成用帯状物を前記と
同様に第1図に示される様な管製造装置で湾曲させ更に
誘導加熱式融着機−に通すと突き合わせ部分が簡単に融
着される。尚上記導電性プラスチックとしては熱可塑性
プラスチックにしんちゆう、鉄、アルミニウム、銅等の
金属ファイバーを混合したものが例示される。又本発明
に係る熱可塑性プラスチックとしては例えばPvClP
E、PP、PB等のプラスチック材料が例示され、各材
料を用いて形成した管形成用帯状物を加熱して管状に戻
すに当たっては各材料のガラス転移点以上であって且つ
各材料の融点以下の温度に加熱・昇温させればよい。
本発明は以上の様に構成されておシ、現場施工を行なう
までは管形成材料が帯状で運搬・保管できるので単位重
量当たシの嵩さが小さく、運搬並びに保管を効率良く行
なうことができる。又常法に従い押出成形した管を切シ
開いて得た帯状物を用いて管の製造を行なうので、帯状
物をガラス転移点以上に加熱するだけでよく突き合わせ
部を融着して得た管には内部応力が残留することもない
。

次に本発明の実施例について説明する。
実施例
下記組成の導電性プラスチック及びポリプロピレンを使
用し、下記押出条件下に第5図に示す形状の管(直径2
0mmφ×肉厚4mm)を製造した。

ピレン 60重量部 しんちゅうファイバー 1001 その他 30 1 押出条件 押出機 HA A K E社製 押出温度及び押出トルク シリンダ 180℃、 2150kgf −cm金型
200℃、16501 得られた管を矢印り部分において長手方向(紙面貫通方
向)に切シ開くと共に同方向に巻き取シ冷却してコイル
状帯状物を得た。これを第1図に示す管製造装置に導入
して加熱し湾曲させ、且つ突き合わせ部を融着して管P
を製造した。尚融着に幽たっては誘導加熱方式を利用し
た。得られた管は強度的にも優れた管であった。

200℃、16501 得られた管を矢印り部分において長手方向(紙面貫通方
向)に切シ開くと共に同方向に巻き取シ冷却してコイル
状帯状物を得た。これを第1図に示す管製造装置に導入
して加熱し湾曲させ、且つ突き合わせ部を融着して管P
を製造した。尚融着に幽たっては誘導加熱方式を利用し
た。得られた管は強度的にも優れた管であった。

Claims (1)
- 熱可塑性プラスチック管をガラス転移点と融点の間の温
度で切シ開いて帯状とした後常温まで冷却して得た帯状
物を、施工時にガラス転移点以上に加熱して管状に戻し
、突き合わせ部を融着することを特徴とする施工現場に
おける管の製造方法。
