従来の例えば第1図に示す瞬間湯沸器において水入口1
より流入した水はフロースイッチ2を作動させ熱交換器
3にてバーナー4によって加熱さ−れ、湯出口5へ流出
する。バーナー4の燃焼はガスコントローラー6によっ
て制御される。一方熱交換器3を経た排気ガスはファン
7により排気トップ8より器外へ排出される。ファン7
には回転数検出部9が装着されており、常にファン7の

使用のうちにフィン部が詰り、結果として熱交換器が閉
塞されていき、ファンにより強制的に排気をしても排ガ
ス量が減少し、不完全燃焼の原因となる。第2図は熱交
換器閉塞時のデーターの一例で、横軸に熱交換器閉塞率
、縦軸にco/CO2をとると、約50%の熱交換器の
閉塞で燃焼性を表わすCO/CO2の値がJIS基準の

Co/CO2はJIS基準の0.02以下である。ここ
に熱交換器3のフィン部の詰りによる不完全燃焼は防止
