Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は特許請求の範囲第(1)項の上位概念に記載の
圧力容器の製造方法に関する。
軽量構造体として製造された複合構造様式の圧力容器と
して、゛軽金属からなる内容器を、繊維、糸又は織物を
含む支持用巻取体によシ強化することは周知である。こ
の支持用巻取体は、全体として容器に働く圧力を一部分
内容器によシ又大部分支持用巻取体で支持するように内
容器の負荷を軽減する。所定の圧力及び容量で容器の重
量を出来るだけ軽減するために、内容器用及び支持用巻
取体用の5材料が出来るだけ大きい引裂き長さを有する
ものであることがよい。
容器の内圧による容器壁の荷重負荷が内容器及び巻取体
によって支持されるようにするとき、内容器及び巻取体
の巻取繊維の絶対的膨張を同一にする必要がある。この
条件は、軽量構造についての利点と共に熱膨張の小さい
繊維、例えば炭素繊維と軽金属(アルミニウム又はマグ
ネシウム)の内容器とを組合せて用いることとなる。
荷重負荷の出来るだけ大部分を巻取体に支持さぜ、出来
るだけ小部分を内容器に支持させ引裂き長さを小さくす
るように軽量化する必要がある。この原理を追求すると
当然ながら内容器の薄肉化に到達する。巻取工程は当然
ながら糸に引張り力ヲ力えて実施される。巻取り工程中
に蓄積された糸の張力は、内容器押込み、場合によって
は内容器を全屈させてしまうこともある。
本発明の課題は前述様式の圧力容器の製造方法において
、内容器には決して全屈が生じないようにすることにあ
る。
この課題は特許請求の範囲(1)項の特徴部分に記載の
方法により解決している。
本発明の利点は、軽金属と巻取多繊維の熱膨張係数が大
きく異っていることを、巻取時に繊組の応力が蓄積する
が、この応力の蓄積を、軽金属の内容器を冷却すること
による同時的収縮を行うことにより軽減するように用い
られる。
繊維の応力による圧力負荷ヲナくすだめの必要な冷却は
ほぼ10℃程度であるから、冷却そのものは軽度に実施
される。この場合、冷却は巻取工程中又は前に、冷却さ
れた液体を充満するか、冷房装置からの冷却された空気
によって実施できる。この様にして冷却は必要であるが
、その理由は、薄肉の内容器に塑性変形が生じると内圧
によっては繊維の応力の蓄積を補償できなくするからで
ある。
例: 宇宙船の原動機用の、例えば10 D IJットルのガ
ス貯蔵容器を作るものとする。このため肉厚2胴のアル
ミニウムの内容器を、合成樹脂を含浸した炭素繊維の巻
取体で包囲する。巻取体の肉厚は容器の形状に対応して
相異ったものとし、内容器の肉厚の複数倍とするが、容
器壁に働く圧力の80〜90チ程度を巻取体で支持させ
るようにする。周知の巻取法(フィラメントフィンディ
ング法)で巻取っている間、大気迦度に比べて10℃程
度低い液体’i 2017ソトル程度容器内に充填する
。この容量は容器を回転して冷却するには充分である。
巻取り工程が終了すると冷却用液は排出され、所定の内
圧全保持しながら容器を保存する。

Claims (4)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. (1)  軽金属からなる薄肉の容器に、長尺で熱膨張
    係数の小さい合成樹脂含浸の繊維からなる支持用巻取体
    を設けている、圧力容器の製造方法において、巻取工程
    中に糸の応力の蓄積を補償するために、軽金属からなる
    内容器を冷却により収縮させることを特徴とする製造方
    法。
  2. (2)  内容器に、巻取り工程中又は前に冷却した液
    体を充満させることを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第(1
    )項に記載の製造方法。
  3. (3)  巻取り工程中に内容器に冷却したガスを流通
    させることを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第(1)項に記
    載の製造方法。
  4. (4)  内容器が外気温度に比べて約10℃冷却する
    ことを特徴とする特許請求の範囲前項のうちいずれかの
    項に記載の製造方法。
