略V字形の凹部、11は外囲器、12は光散乱板、13

実用新案登録請求の範囲、図面の簡単な説明を次のよう
に補正する。
O実用新案登録請求の範囲
(1)発光ダイオードチップとこれを被覆するプラスチ
ック体を少なくとも有し、このプラスチック体の発光側
頂部の外形断面は略M字形であって、この発光側頂部に
おける断面路V字形凹部の底部の直下に前記発光ダイオ
ードチップを配置した発光ダイオードを使用し、前記発
光ダイオードの発光側頂部の上方に光散乱板を配置し、
前記発光ダイオードの発光側頂部および前記光散乱板の
側方を囲むように光反射性内壁を有するマスク部材を配
置したことを特徴とする面照明装置。
(2)前記プラスチック体は光散乱性の少ない半透明な
プラスチック材料で構成されている実用新案登録請求の
範囲第1項記載の面照明装置。
(3)前記発光側頂部における断面略V字形の凹部の開
き角度が80〜130°である実用新案登録請求の範囲
第1項または第2項記載の面照明装置。
(4) 前記発光側頂部における断面略V字形の凹部
の底部と前記発光ダイオードチップの」−面との距離が
0.5〜]、 、Q m、mである実用新案登録請求の
範囲第1項、第2項または第3項記載の面照明装置。
