Another objective is to achieve the above objectives without any special work. A liquid crystal display device consisting of multiple liquid crystal layers can display more information than a conventional liquid crystal display device consisting of a single layer, can change the color tone, and can reverse the color tone between the display pattern and the background. It has many advantages as possible.

However, on the other hand, it has the disadvantage that the number of terminals of the display pattern and the number of terminals of the common electrode increase. The number of terminals of the common electrode is at least equal to the number of liquid crystal layers. The present invention is to reduce the number of terminals of the common electrode that input the same electric signal to 1/the number of liquid crystal layers.The present invention will be explained below with reference to examples. In the embodiment, the case where the number of liquid crystal layers is 2 will be explained. Fig. 1 shows an embodiment of the present invention, in which the middle electrode substrate among the three electrode substrates is shared, and there is a gap between each substrate. A liquid crystal is installed, and the number of liquid crystal layers is two.The sealing member is omitted here, but it goes without saying that the electrode substrates are kept at a constant distance and the liquid crystal is sealed. The same applies to the following examples. Also, the explanation will omit the display pattern electrodes. 1 is an electrode substrate, 2 is a common electrode installed on the upper surface of the lower electrode substrate, and 3 is installed on the upper surface of the intermediate electrode substrate. This is a common electrode.

In this embodiment, the liquid crystal filling port does not necessarily have to be provided in the conductive portion. FIG. 2 is a plan view of an embodiment of the present invention, and the relationship among the electrode substrate, liquid crystal, sealing member, etc. is the same as described in FIG. 1. Also, the display pattern electrodes are omitted here as well. 6 is the top, middle, and bottom three electrode boards; 7 is the common electrode installed on the bottom of the bottom electrode board; 8 is the common electrode installed on the bottom electrode board;
Reference numeral 1 indicates a common electrode disposed on the upper surface of the intermediate electrode substrate, 9 indicates a common signal input electrode, and 10 indicates a sealing member, and both layers are located in the same area when viewed from above.

Further, a portion of the sealing member 10 is cut at this portion, and this portion serves as a liquid crystal injection port. Therefore, the low melting point metal 11 is 2
It simultaneously seals the sealing port of the liquid crystal layer of each layer and also serves as conduction between the common electrodes of each layer. FIG. 3 is a plan view of an embodiment of the present invention, and the structural relationships among the electrode substrate, liquid crystal, seal member, etc. are the same as those described in FIG. 1. Also, the display pattern electrodes are omitted here as well. 12 is earth, middle, lower 3
13 is a common electrode installed on the upper surface of the lower electrode substrate, 14 is a common electrode installed on the upper surface of the intermediate electrode substrate, 15 is an electrode for common signal input, and 16 is for sealing the lower layer liquid crystal. The sealing member 17 is a sealing member for sealing the upper layer of liquid crystal, and each part is cut out at a different place when viewed from above, and serves as an injection port for the liquid crystal.

The reason why there are injection ports at different locations is to inject different types of liquid crystal into the upper and lower layers. 18 and 19 are low melting point metals such as solder, respectively. 18 only seals the injection port, and 19 also serves to seal the injection port and conduct the common electrode of each layer.

Although the above description has been made for a case where the number of liquid crystal layers is two, it is clear that the present invention can be implemented in the same way in cases where the number of liquid crystal layers is three or more. In addition, in the above explanation, the so-called static drive type in which each liquid crystal layer has one common electrode was explained, but for the so-called dynamic drive type in which each liquid crystal layer has two or more common electrodes, the common electrode for each layer is explained. Of the electrodes, a common electrode to which the same electrical signal is input may be made conductive. Therefore, it is clear that the present invention can be implemented in the same manner in this case as well. According to the present invention,
The number of common electrode input terminals that input the same electrical signal can be reduced to 1/the number of liquid crystal layers.In other words, it is only necessary to input the common electrode signal to one electrode substrate.Therefore, the effect is as follows. It is extremely large in terms of mounting in applied equipment for liquid crystal display devices.
