Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain water-tight sealing of stacked annular parts for a manhole by a method in which a sealant is packed into the annular recession of the lower annular part, a seal ring is placed on the sealant, and the annular projection of the upper annular part is fitted into the annular recession of the lower annular part. CONSTITUTION:A sealant 5 and a seal ring 6 are provided in the annular groove of the lower annular part 1, the upper annular part 2 is placed on the lower annular part 1, and the annular projection 4 of the upper annular part 2 is fitted into the annular recession 3 of the lower annular part 1, whereupon the seal ring 6 is pushed and crushed by the annular projection 4. Part of the sealant 5 present below the seal ring 6 comes out to the upside of the seal ring 6 to fill up the space formed by the downside of the upper annular part 2 and the upside of the lower annular part 1, thereby producing water-tight sealing effect. The upper and lower annular parts 2 and 1 can be mutually fixed by screwing bolts through the washers 8 of the upper annular part 2 and the nuts 7 of the lower annular part 1.

Conventionally, such seals have been made by applying adhesive between the annular parts before stacking them, or by placing a seal ring made of synthetic rubber between them, but the former method In the latter case, the on-site construction is laborious and the public cost is high, and in the latter case, the desired sealing effect cannot be obtained. In the former case, the desired watertightness can be achieved using adhesive or caulking, but the unit cost of materials is extremely high, and in the latter case, the surface of the concrete annular part is rough, so it is important to consider However, it is unavoidable that some unevenness will occur on the surface of the finished product, and small damage can easily occur during transportation or storage of the finished product, and the seal ring made of synthetic rubber etc. will not adjust to these unevenness. There was a problem.

The present invention was created to solve such problems, and its configuration will be explained according to the drawings. Reference numerals 1 and 2 are hollow annular parts made of reinforced concrete, each having an annular groove 6 at its upper edge. is bored, and an annular projection 4 is provided protruding from the lower edge. In the illustrated example, two annular parts 1 and 2 are shown as having the same shape, but for convenience of explanation, one
Let 2 be the lower annular part and 2 be the upper annular part. 2 and 6 are enlarged sectional views of the part indicated by the symbol A in FIG. 5, and a seal ring 6 made of, for example, urethane rubber is placed on top of the seal ring 6. The seal ring 6 in the illustrated example has a substantially T-shaped cross section, and the hanging legs of the T-shape protrude into the sealing material 5, and its horizontal arms are placed so as to cover the upper surface of the sole material 5. has been done.

The upper annular part 2 is lowered onto the lower annular part 1 on which the sealing material 5 and seal ring 6 have been applied as described above, and the annular protrusion 4 of the upper annular part 2 is inserted into the lower annular part 1 as shown in FIG. When inserted into the annular groove 6, the annular protrusion 4 crushes the seal ring 6, so a part of the seal material 5 below the seal ring O spills out above the seal ring 6, causing the upper annular part 2
fills the gap formed between the lower surface of the lower annular part 1 and the upper surface of the lower annular part 1, whereby a completely watertight sealing effect is achieved.

The reference numeral 7 appearing in FIGS. 2 and 6 is the lower annular part 1.
8 is a washer for the bolt receiver embedded in the upper annular part 2, and a bolt (not shown) that passes through the washer 8 is firmly screwed into the nut 7. It should serve as a means for fixing the upper and lower annular parts to each other.

The seal ring 6 in the illustrated example has a substantially T-shaped cross section as described above, but this cross-sectional shape is arbitrary, and the crushed seal ring 6 pushes the seal material 5 below the seal ring 6 above the seal ring 6. Any shape may be used as long as it can overflow.

According to the present invention as described above, by placing the seal ring 6, the amount of sealing material 5 to be filled can be reduced,
Furthermore, since the seal ring 6 covers the sealant 5 before stacking the annular parts, the sealant 5 can be protected from sunlight and rainwater even if the annular parts are stored in an open pile. In addition, the sealing ring 6 can provide a sufficient sealing effect, and the sealing material 5 can supplement this to achieve a complete sealing effect.

In the embodiment, butyl rubber is used as an example of the seal system 5.
Furthermore, although urethane rubber is used as an example of the seal ring 6, the selection of these materials is arbitrary and any material may be used.
