Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a resonator of a small size by distributing a lead terminal as it holds a resonator element in between on a terminal plate, providing a screen along the resonator element and putting a case over the screen. CONSTITUTION:An electrode plate 22 is connected electrically to a rectangular ceramic resonator element 1 which is set up with its side face put to the bottom part. A screen 23 is set along the element 1 on a terminal plate 21 which is unified with the plate 22. Then a protecting case 24 also used as a sheathing element is put over the screen 23. In such a constitution, the screen 23 protects the element 1 from a contact between elements 1 and from the impact due to the case 24 and the external stress. In addition, a groove 25 is formed at the center part of the element 1 on the plate 21 in order to avoid suppression of oscillation of the element 1. Thus it is possible to obtain a small resonator having a size approximate to that of the element 1.
