Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 技術分野 この発明は、超音波加工用沓−ンと受具との間に配置さ
れた複数の熱可塑性材料からなるシート状加工材料を押
圧挟持するとともに加工用ホーンに超音波振動を付与す
ることによって、複数のシート状加工材料を互いに超音
波溶着するようにした超音波加工機に関するものである
従来技術 従来、この種の超音波加工機においては加工用ホーン及
び受具のシート状加工材料と当接する加工面は単なる平
坦面により構成されていたため、例えば、2枚のシート
状加工材料を互いにその先端又は側端を重ね合わせたあ
とその重合部において溶着させようとする場合には、そ
の重ね合わせ部分の加工材料の先端若しくは側端の裁断
形状とかそれらの加工材料の重ね合わせ具合とかの影響
によりその溶着個所の仕上がり具合が決定されるもので
あった。ところが、第8図に示されるような2枚のシー
ト状加工材料の先端溶着部を付き合わせるようにして正
確に重ね合わせる作業は非常に面倒で、作業性が悪い漁
のであり、通常、第4図に示されるように2枚のシート
状加工材料の先端部を重ね合わせた溶着作業を施した後
、重ね合わせ部分の不要個所をナイフ、ハサミ等により
切断するように為されていたが、この切断作業に多大な
時間を有し、実用的でないという問題点を有するもので
あった。
目        的 この発明は、上述した従来装置における問題点を解消す
るために為されたもので、加工用ボーンと受具との間に
重合して配置された複数枚のシート状加工材料の重合部
の溶着時において、加工用ホーンと受具との双方に突条
を形成させておき、それらの突条先端部によって前記重
合部のうち突条側に位置する各シート状加工材料を同時
に切断することにより、作業性が良く、仕上がりが良好
な超音波による溶着切断加工を施し得る超音波溝@機を
提供することを目的とするものである。
実施例 以下に、この発明を具体化した一実施例を示す図面を参
照して、その詳細を説明する。
第1図において、基台1の右方側端には支柱2が上方に
起立され、その支柱2にはフレーム3が支持されている
。そのフレーム3にはシリンダ4が載置され、そのシリ
ンダ4中に内装されたピストンに連結されたピストンロ
ッド5及びそのピストンロッド5に固着された可動枠体
6は共に上下動可能に配置されている。その可動枠体6
には、下端に加工用ホーン7を有し上端に振動子8を有
する振動子組体がその中間部に形成された鍔部において
連結されている。前記基台1上の前記加工用ホーン7の
下方には受具9が載置され、その受具9上にはシート状
加工材料10A、10Bが配置されている。
又、11は前記シリンダ4の上室にエアを供給するため
のエア回路で、その回路11中に逆止弁12と流量調節
弁13とが並列に配置されている。
14は前記シリンダ4の王室にエアを供給するためのエ
ア回路で、その回路中に逆止弁15と流量調節弁16と
が並列に配置されている。切換弁17はコンプレッサー
18からのエアを前記各エア回路11.14のうちいづ
れに供給するかの切換制御を行なうための切換弁である
。19は前記回路14中に配置された圧力感知スイッチ
で、前記シリンダの王室の圧力が一定圧力以下となった
時作動するものである。20は始動スイッチ、21Aは
前記可動枠体6に連結固定されたスケールで、フレーム
3に固定された読み取り装Ei21Bによって、前記可
動枠体6の上下方向における変位量が検出可能に配置さ
れている。その読み取り装置21Bの出力は制御回路2
2に接続され、その変位量出力信号に基づき振動子の起
動・停止を行なったり、前記切換弁17の切換制御を行
なうために、制御回路22の出力は振動子駆動回路23
及びSQL駆動回路24に接続されている。
第2図において、前記加工用ホーン7の下端の前記受具
9に対向する加工面には第1の平坦面7aが形成される
とともにその平坦面上においてその加工面に沿って一方
向に延び、その断面形状が三角形状を有する突条7bが
形成されている。又、受具9の前記加工用ホーン7との
対向する対向面にも前記第1の平坦面7aと平行な第2
の平坦面9aが形成されるとともにその第2の平坦面に
は前記突条7bと合同な三角形の断面形状を有する突条
9bが前記突条7bと略平行な方向に沿って形成されて
いる。
次に、以上のように構成された超音波加工機の作動につ
いて以下に説明を行なう。
まず、第4図に示されるように、2枚のシート状加工材
料10A110B各々の先端部を重ね合わせ、その重合
部の所望溶着個所10Gが、前記加工用ホーン7に形成
された突条7bの下方位置、即ち前記受具9に形成され
た突条9b上に位置するように加工材料10A110B
を配置した後、始動スイッチ20が押圧されると、前記
コンプレッサー18からのエアによってシリンダ4が作
動され、加工用ホーン7が降下される。次に、−その加
工用ホーン7の降下に伴ない、その下端に形成されたI
Iの突条7b先端が第2図に示されるように加工材料1
0Aに当接され、引き続きその加工用ホーン7が降下さ
れることによって前記第1、第2平坦面7a 、9a 
及U第1、第2突条7b、9b等の間に加工材料10△
、10Bが密接されると前記シリンダ4内の下室内の圧
力が減少され、前記圧力感知スイッチ19が作動される
。その作動信号の発生に伴ない、前記振動子駆動回路2
3が起動され、振動子8が超音波振動され、前記加工用
ホーン7の加工面及び受具9の対向面間に配置された加
工材料10A、IOBに超音波振動が付与され、それら
の加工材料の溶融に伴なって、前記突条7が加工材料1
0A、10B中に圧入されると、加工用ホーン7及びそ
れを支持している可動枠体6が共に降下される。次に、
前記読み取り装置21Bによって、第3図に示されるよ
うに、その可動枠体6が予め定められた値を越えるまで
降下されたのが検知されるとく換言すれば、加工用ホー
ン7の第1の突条7bの先端と第2の平坦面9aとの間
の間隔が加工材料10A又は10日の厚さと加工用ホー
ン7の加工面における縦方向振動量との和と略等しくな
った時)、その読み取り装置21Bから読み取り信号が
制御回路22に出力され、この制御回路22中に内蔵さ
れたタイマーに基づき予め定められたタイマ一時間が経
過した後、前記振動子駆動回路23の駆動が停止される
。その振動子駆動回路23の駆動停止後、前記制御回路
22は前記SQL駆動回路24を駆動するための駆動信
号を出力し、それに伴ない、前記切換弁17が作動され
、加工用ホーン7及び可動枠体6等は第1図に示される
位置に再び上昇される。
上記作動によって、加工材料10A及びIOBには第5
図及び第6図に示されるような溶着(W)及び切断(P
、Q)加工が同時に施されるので、作業者は、第7図に
示されるよう不要個所(10A1及び1081)を取り
除くことによって、第8図及び第9図に示されるような
2枚へ加工材料の良好な溶着加工を為し得る。
尚、上記実施例において、加工用ホーン及び受具に形成
された突条の先端が重合された加工材料の互いに突条側
に位置する加工材料の切断を検知づる手段として、可動
枠体の降下量(変位量)に基いてその切断を検知する例
を示したが、加工用ホーン、可動枠体等が予め定められ
た位置より降下されないようにその可動枠体に機械的な
ス1〜ツバ−を設けるようにしても良い。
又、尚、上記実施例において、第1、第2の突条は互い
に平行且つ直線的に延びるように配置された例を示した
が、これらの突条は必ずしも直線に沿うものでなくとも
又平行に延びるものでなくとも良いことは言うまでもな
い。
効       果 以上詳迩したように、この発明は、加工用ホーン及び受
具の対向する平坦面上に互いに突出して延びる突条を形
成させ、それらの対向面に重合されたシート材を配置し
、加工用ホーン及び受具によってシート材を押圧すると
ともに加工用ホーンに超音波振動を付与することによっ
て、重合されたシート材を溶着させるとともに各突条に
よって、溶着個所以外のシート材の重合部を加工用ホー
ン及び受具の双方の側より切断除去し得るように構成さ
れたもので、複数のシート材の溶着のための重ね合わせ
作業が簡単に為し得るのみならず、溶着及び切断作業を
同時に為し得るもので、作業性の向上に寄与し得、しか
も、均一で良好な酒肴加工を施し得る等の優れた効果を
奥するものである。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 1、受具に対向する加工面を有する加工用ホーンと、 その加工用ホーンに超音波振動を付与する超音波振動付
    与手段と、 前記受具と加工用ホーンとをそれらが互いに接近する位
    置と離反する位置との間に移動させるためにその受具若
    しくは加工用ホーンに作動的に連結された移動手段と を備え、前記受具と加工用ホーンとを前記移動手段によ
    って接近させそれらの間に重合して配置された熱可塑性
    のシート材を抑圧挟持しつつ前記加工用ホーンに超音波
    振動を付与することにより複数枚の重合されたシート材
    を互いに溶着させるようにしてなる超音波加工機におい
    て、 前記加工用ホーン及び受具の相対向するそれぞれの対向
    面上に第1、第2の平坦面を形成させ、且つそれらの各
    平坦面上において互いに他の平坦面側に突出して延びる
    第1、第2の突条、を形成させるとともに、 前記加工用ホーンと受具との接近に基づく重合された複
    数のシート材の押圧挟持に伴なうシート材の溶着時にお
    いて、複数のシート材のうち前記・第1、第2の突条側
    に位置するシート材の各々が各突条の先端部によ?て溶
    融されたとき、前記加工用ホーンの超音波振動付与手段
    の作動を停止させるとともに前記加工用ホーンと受具と
    を互いに離反させ、重合されたシート材の溶着時に、そ
    の溶融個所にてシート材の重合部を加工用ホーンと受具
    との双方の側から切断除去し得るように構成したことを
    特徴とする超音波加工機。 2、前記第1、第2の平坦面は前記加工用ホーンと受具
    との接近位置及び離反位置へ移動される移動方向と垂直
    で互いに平行な平面上に形成され、前記第1、第2の突
    条はその切断面が互いに合同な三角形状を有し、互いに
    略平行方向に延びるように前記各平坦面上に形成されて
    いることを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第1項記載の超音
    波加工機。
