Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain spun yarn without causing yarn unevenness and end breage, by predrafting a fiber bundle consisting of short fibers, wetting it, dehydrating it, drafting it mainly using rubber rollers having specific rubber hardness, subjecting it to false twist, drying and winding it. CONSTITUTION:The fiber bundle 1 consisting of one or plural kinds of short fibers is predrafted by black rollers 4 and 4' and the front rollers 5 and 5' in the predrafting zone 2, the fiber bundle 1 is supplied with water from the first water feed pump 6 and the second water feed pump 7 and wetted. The wetted fiber bundle 1 is pressed by the compression rollers 8 and 8' to remove excess water, water is further removed by the squeezing nozzle 9, the bundle is sent to the main drafting zone 3, drafted mainly by using rubber rollers as the back top rollers 10 and 10' and front top rollers having >=93 deg. (hardness of JIS) of rubber hardness of covered rubber, subjected to false twist, dried, and wound to give the desired spun yarn.

Conventionally, wet spinning methods in which fiber bundles are moistened and drafted are disclosed in Japanese Patent Publication No. 50-7662 and Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 50-1.
The spinning speed described in Japanese Patent No. 32230 is known, but when the spinning speed is 200+Mmin or more,
The problem is that the fibers get wrapped around the wet draft rope, especially the top roller, resulting in frequent yarn unevenness and yarn breakage.

That is, the present invention provides a wet spinning method in which a fiber bundle composed of one or more types of staple fibers is pre-drafted, then moistened, dehydrated, main-drafted, false-twisted, dried and rolled up. This wet spinning method is characterized by using rubber rollers whose coated rubber has a rubber hardness (JIS hardness) of 93 degrees or higher as the front top loaf and pack top roller in the main draft zone.

In the method of the present invention, the pack top roller QQ and the front top roller O in the main draft zone are
A rubber having a rubber hardness of 93 degrees or more is used as the coating rubber for υ, which can prevent the fiber bundle (1) from rolling up on both top rollers, yarn unevenness, and yarn breakage. In other words, when using a rubber roller with a rubber hardness of less than 93 degrees,
Due to the high-speed rotation caused by high-speed spinning, the degree of deformation of the outer shape of the covered rubber roller becomes large, and the nip line that clamps the fiber bundle (1) becomes large in convergence. Since the fiber bundle (1) is pulled out while being clamped, it becomes difficult to properly pull out the fiber bundle (1), and as a result, the occurrence of yarn unevenness and yarn breakage due to the fibers winding around the dog lobes increases. On the other hand, in the method of the present invention, rubber rollers with a rubber hardness of 9'5 or higher are used for both the back and front top rollers in the main draft zone which rotate at high speeds such as 9 or higher, so the spinning speed is 200 m/min. Even in high-speed spinning exceeding 100 min, there is almost no deformation due to the high-speed rotation, and therefore, the fiber bundles are held normally, so the fiber pulling action is also performed properly, resulting in normal drafting and yarn unevenness. It is possible to prevent the occurrence of yarn breakage and yarn breakage, and the yarn quality and operability are significantly improved.
