Abstract

PURPOSE:To accurately and automatically control the temperature of a baking plate by a structure wherein thin heat transfer passages are formed over nearly the whole surface of the baking plate and at the same time a temperature sensor is brought into contact with a part of the heat transfer passages. CONSTITUTION:Thin heat transfer passages 11 are arranged at a baking plate 6 by forming grooves on its back surface. The heat transfer passages 11 consist of a large number of main passages 11a disposed in an array in the lateral direction of the plate 6 and a single auxiliary passage 11b crossing the main passages 11a. A temperature sensor 7 is brought into contact with the one end of the auxiliary passage 11b. Because the heat capacity of the baking plate 6 is smaller as compared with the other part, the temperature drop developed by placing stuffs to be cooked such as raw meat or the like is quickly transmitted to all the heat transfer passages 11. Consequently, the temperature sensor 7 detects said temperature change and acts so as to make the valve opening of a gas control valve 9 wider in order to strengthen the heating power of a gas burner 5. In such a manner as mentioned above, the temperature detection of the baking plate by the temperature sensor can be accurate, resulting in performing sure cooking by baking.
