チンキなどの水溶液を主体とし、これを頭皮に塗布して
頭皮の血液循glt良好に保ち、2次的に電球部の血液
循環の改善をはかり1毛の養毛又は再生を期待するもの
であるが、充分な効果をあげ得ないのが現状である。。 本発明は、前述した毛の発生に関する従来の定説とは異
なり、本発明者が長年にわたって研究t1.その結果、
見出された新しい毛の発生理論に基づいて完成されたも
のであり、この発生理論は本発明を理解する上で不可欠
のものであるから、以下にその大要を説明する。 第1図は本理論による毛周期の説明図である。 すなわち、毛包3とこれに付随している皮脂腺1とが1
つのセットになり、成長期(A)には1毛は電球部4の
毛母細胞5から形成されてくる。 しかし、永久的(;生え続けるのではなく、移行期(B

に作用するのである。 本発明は以上に述べた禿げの形成過程から。 前記皮脂腺内に存在している5αリダクタ−ぜの酵素作
用を抑制すれば、テストステロンが強力な性ホルモン5
αDHTに転換されることが少ない。したがって、毛母
細胞に対する抑制作用が城弱又は消失してくることに着
目し、皮脂腺内に存在している5αリダクターゼの作用
を抑制又は消失させる物質を毛の発毛、養毛剤中に含ま
しめたことを要旨としている。 現在まで、5αリダクターゼの活性を抑制する目的に競
合拮抗剤例えば黄体ホルモン、その他の男性ホルモンを
用いる試みがあったが、副作用が多く5発毛剤としては
適当でない。 本発明者は5αリダクターゼが還元性酵素でであること
から、この活性を減衰又は消失させる一つめ方法として
1強い酸化作用を有し、かつ人体に無害で副作用を生ず
ることがない物質を用いることを見出した。 このような物質としては、例えば安定化二酸化塩素、コ
ールトノ4−マの第2液として用いられるブロム酸カリ
ウム、オゾンなどかあ1デられるが、前記の2条件を満
たす限り、これ以外の酸化用物質を用いることができ、
前記の例示はこれに限定する趣旨ではなく、さらに還元
酵素5αリダクターゼの酵素活性を抑制又は消失せしめ
る如何なる物質をも使用し得る。なお、上記安定化二酸
化塩素とは化学的に安定化処理した二酸化塩素水溶液で
あって、たとえば米国特許No 、 4.296.10

定化二酸化塩素は爆発性のある二酸化塩素を化学的に安
定化させる目的で苛性ソーダ等の安定化剤等を添加した
ものである。又、この安定化二酸化塩素は濃度又は添加
剤の配合により人体に対し毒性を与えないもの゛とする
ことができることが知られている。 これら酸化剤は5αリダクターゼの作用を抑制又は消失
させるのに十分で、かつ人体に影響を与えないような組
成、濃度とし、これを必要に応じ他成分とともに、1日
に数回、禿げた頭皮に塗り、軽くマツサージし、これを
長期間に亘って連続的に使用する。 これにより、各種の酸化作用物質が頭皮の毛孔から皮脂
腺に浸透し、皮脂腺に存在する還元型補酵素(N A 
D kl 、 NAI)Pn(TPNH)並びに5αリ
ダクターゼ酵素の活性を減弱又は消失させる。このため
翠丸から連ばれたテストステロ准5aD)ITに転換さ
れることが少なく、テストステロンあるいは少暖の5α
DHTのみの作用が毛母細胞に働くこととなる。この5

の2柚につき、臨床テストヲ下記の要領でおこなった。 なお、この臨床試験は米国において、各テストにつき3
