Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to line up and to supply the polarized electronic parts in the desired direction discriminating polarity, the surface and the back, the longitudinal and lateral faces of the parts by a method wherein the parts is made to have a nearly parallelepiped-shaped sheathing type, and a notch part is provided extending over the whole length of any ridgeline part out of the ridgeline parts being in parallel with the longitudinal axial direction thereof. CONSTITUTION:The bevelling type notch part 15 is provided at one part out of the four ridgeline parts being in parallel with the lengthily axial direction of nearly parallelepiped-shaped insulating resin 4, namely the ridgeline parts being in parallel with a line to connect an anode 2 and a cathode 3, and a chip capacitor 6 is formed. A protruding part 21 to discriminate existence of the notch part 15 and whose shape and position are made to nearly coincide with the notch part 15 of the chip capacitor 6 is provided at a part of the inside wall face of a step type feeder part 20. When the chip capacitor 6 is made to proceed on the feeder part 20 in the direction shown with an arrow mark, the chip capacitor putting the surface upward, and moreover having the anode 2 ahead in relation to the proceeding direction, can pass through without interfered by the protruding part 21 and without dropt from the base 20a of the feeder part 20. When the chip capacitor 6 proceeds having the direction other than that mentioned above, the edge face of the ridgeline part having no bevelling part proceeds along the protruding part 21, and drops from the base 20a.

Generally, electronic components such as solid electrolytic capacitors have polarity and front and back surfaces, and determining the polarity and the front and back surfaces during automatic supply when mounted on a circuit board, etc., has become an important problem.

In conventional chip-type solid electrolytic capacitors,
(As shown in bl, the positive electrode 2 and negative electrode 3 are connected from the capacitor cable 1 at once, and the capacitor cable 1 is covered with an insulating resin 4, and has a roughly rectangular external shape. Also, for the purpose of determining the polarity of the component and determining the front and back sides of the component!@2 As shown in Figure 2, the ridgeline part of the rectangular parallelepiped made of insulating resin 4 that meets the lead-out side of the positive electrode 2 is used. Some chip-type solid electrolytic capacitors are provided with a notch 5.However, such chip-type solid electrolytic capacitors are characterized by a small external shape, and due to constraints from the internal structure in order to improve volumetric efficiency. Generally, it has a long shape that follows the direction in which the positive electrode 2 and negative electrode 3 are drawn out from the capacitor element 1.On the other hand, the direction in which parts are supplied by currently used parts feeder devices (not shown) is generally long. Generally, parts are transferred from the longitudinal direction. Therefore, a parts feeder is used to determine the polarity and to distinguish between the front and back surfaces at the notch s5 provided on the ridge of the conventional chip-type solid electrolytic capacitor. It is very difficult to make a distinction and supply the polarity in a certain direction with the same polarity.Especially when mounting on a printed wiring board, etc., it is essential to automatically supply a large amount.

FIG. 4 shows a notch (with or without the notch 15) that is approximately the same shape and position as the notch 15 of the chip capacitor 6 on a part of the inner wall surface of the step-shaped feeder part 20 in the parts feeder OW section. When the chip capacitor 6 is advanced in the direction of the arrow shown in FIG.
2 is the direction of the head in relation to the direction of travel (hereinafter referred to as + ahead)
feeder section 2 without being interfered with by the protruding section 21.
0 without falling from the bottom 20m. On the other hand, when the chip capacitor 6 advances in a direction other than the above-mentioned direction shown in FIGS. Therefore, only those in the predetermined direction that traveled in the state of No. 4 EZ (a) are aligned and supplied, and the predetermined direction that traveled in the states of Fig. 4 (bl, (C1 and (d)) Items other than the above are once dropped from the bottom surface 20g of the feeder part 20 and then returned to the feeder s20 by being aligned in one predetermined direction using a vibration lifting device and fed. As another embodiment of the present invention, (7) In Fig. 4, the means for supplying only the first stutter is shown facing up, but the mounting of the protrusion 21 can be done by changing the position shown in Figs. 4 (bl, (C), (d)). It is also possible to select any one of the directions shown in FIG. However, the same effect can be obtained even if the cross-sectional shape of the notch s15 is a rectangular shape or a 174-arc shape as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6. Even if the cross-sectional shape of the capacitor 6 perpendicular to the long axis is almost square and it is difficult to distinguish the vertical and horizontal directions, the shape of the notch 15 of the chip capacitor 6 is as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8. By making the surfaces different in the width direction and the height direction, and by arranging the protruding part 21 having a shape that matches the notch part 15 at the position shown in FIG. It is also possible to carry out the actual discrimination and then sort and supply.
