Claims (1)

  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 １　硬質耐摩耗材料の多角形本体からなり、前多角形本
    体は頂面及び前記頂面と底面を接合する周壁を有し、前
    記頂面、底面のうち少（とも一方の面と前記周壁との接
    合部分に形成された切刃と、前記切刃から内方に延在す
    る切刃ランドと、前記周壁と６０度以上の角度をなして
    形成し、かつ前記切刃ランドから内方に延在する第一の
    降下壁部分と、前記第一の降下壁部分から内方に延在す
    る中間ランド区域とを備え、前記第１の降下壁部分を前
    記中間ランドと１５０度以上の角度をなして形成し、さ
    らに前記中間ランド区域から内方に延在する第二の降下
    壁部分と、前記第二の降下壁部分から内方に延在する底
    ランド区域とを備えたことを特徴とする切削インサート
    。 ２　前記インサートが、平面を画定するために少なくと
    も２つの角関係のある切刃を有し、全前記ランド区域が
    実質的に平らであり、前記角関係のある切刃によって画
    定された前記平面と１０度以内の平行度を有することを
    さらに特徴とする実用新案登録請求の範囲第１項記載の
    切削インサート。 ３　前記切刃ランドの幅が０．００２〜０．０２０イン
    チ（０，０５０８〜０．５０８　ｍｍ　）であることを
    さらに特徴とする実用新案登録請求の範囲第１項記載の
    切削インサート。 ４　前記切刃の平面から前記中間ランドまでの垂直距離
    が０．００２〜０．０１５インヂ０．０５０８〜飢３１
    ８罷）の範囲筒にあることをさらに特徴とする実用新案
    登録請求の範囲第２項記載の切削インサート。 ５　前記中間ランド区域から前記底ランド区域までの垂

    項記載の切削インサート。 ９　前記多角形本体が多重隅部を有し、これらの隅部か
    ら前記切刃が延在し、前記中間ランド区域が前記隅部間
    で最も広いことをさらに特徴とする実用新案登録請求の
