PURPOSE:To manufacture cylindrical bodies having smooth outer circumference and recessed inner wall efficiently in quantities by manufacturing a cylindrical body of small outer diameter using a die and a punch having projection on a part of the outer circumference from a large diameter cylindrical body having a closed end, and drawing the cylindrical body using a die and a punch. CONSTITUTION:A large-diameter cylindrical body having a closed end is formed by drawing a metallic plate with a die and a punch. A cylindrical body 7 is formed from the cylindrical body using a die having a die hole smaller in diameter than above-mentioned die and a punch having a projection on a part of the outer circumference. After drawing out the punch from the body 7, a cylindrical body 13 is formed using a die 14 having a die hole smaller in diameter than above-mentioned die and a punch 15. Then, the tip of the cylindrical body 13 is cut off, and a cylindrical body 17 having a recess 11 on the inner wall is obtained.
