Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption and to obtain many copies with a simple constitution, by driving a thermal recording head with a pattern corresponding to an image signal, which is read for every one line in a read unit, to record a pattern corresponding to the heat of a head on a web-form thermosensitive paper. CONSTITUTION:A platen 2 is provided for setting an original on a copying machine 1, and a read unit 4 is provided which is reciprocated relatively to the platen 2 to read every one line of the original and convertes read image information to a image electric signal and generates this electric signal. A thermosensitive paper supply roll 23 is provided in the copying machine 1, and a web- form thermosensitive paper 22 is transferred smoothly along a back roller 21 by an idler 18 between the roller 23 and the back roller 21. In the side opposite to the roller 21, a thermal recording head 28 having a heating element which emits heat with a pattern corresponding to the signal from the unit 4 is arranged. The thermosensitive paper 22 is moved onto the head 28, and the pattern image is recorded, and the thermosensitive paper 22 passes through an ejecting roller 16 and is cut by an auto-cutter 17.
