Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain multiple sheets of copies simply through one formation of the latent images of the original by forming the electric signals having been photoelectrically converted after reading the original as magnetic latent images through electromagnetic conversion and transferring and fixing said latent images on paper.

CONSTITUTION: First, the latent images of the previous time of the recording drum are erased. Next, photoelectric conversion is accomplished by the operation of the image pickup part to provide the picture signals which are then subjected to electromagnetic conversion, whereby latent image recording is accomplished. The image pickup and latent image recording are accomplished by scanning the original over its entire surface. When the above latent image forming mode is finished, the copy mode is next started, where paper is fed, developed, transferred and fixed, whereby the copy is obtained. On the other hand, the recording drum is cleaned. The paper feeding, developing, transfer, fixing and cleaning are repeated until the number of the sheets of the copies thus obtained reaches a desired number. The operations end upon reaching of the desired sheet number. Since multiple sheets of copies may be obtained simply through one formation of the latent images, the device of less power consumption and superior operating characteristic and maintenance characteristic is provided.
