Abstract

PURPOSE:To transfer high-resistance toner even to plain paper rapidly and easily, by sticking the toner to a latent image by induced charge by generating a potential difference between a toner carrying memeber adjacent to an electrostatic latent-image carrier and a toner supply part adjacent to the latter. CONSTITUTION:A toner supply member 5 which contains a magnet 9 and is formed in a sleeve shape is provided opposite to the toner entrance and exit 4 of a storage tank 3 for magnetic toner 2 having high electric resistance (>=10<10>OMEGA-cm, specially, >=10<12>OMEGA-cm volume natural resistance), and a toner carrying member 6 (having an insulating layer 8 on a base 7) is provided adjoining to the member; and the members 5 and 6 are rotated counterclockwise. The members 5 and 6 are charged by power sources 10 and 11 to a positive and a negetive potential respectively, and toner 2 is charged to a positive potential to form a toner image on a photoreceptor 12 which has an electrostatic latent image charged to negative potential. Thus, transfer even to plain paper is performed easily.
