Abstract

PURPOSE:To make possible good charging and developing by disposing two sleeves which include magnets, in proximity, transferring the insulating toners which have been injected and charged with charge on the surface of the 1st sleeve, by the 2nd sleeve and performing development. CONSTITUTION:The 1st sleeve 11 has a hopper 16 for containing one-component high-resistance magnetic toners 17 and the blade electrode 18 connected with a charge injecting electric power source 19 is disposed by maintaining an electrode gap GE from the sleeve 11. The 2nd sleeve 13 is disposed by maintaining a developing gap GP from a photosensitive drum 20. The toners 17 are attracted on the sleeve 11 by a magnet 12 and are given charge by the electrode 18, thence they are transfer-red to the sleeve 13 having beforehand formed with the toner layer of a fixed thickness, where they contact the electrostatic latent images of the drum 20, whereby developing is accomplished. Thereby, the electrode gap and developing gap may be made respectively to proper values and since they are not defined by the gaps, a good charging and development may be done.
