Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the smooth restarting of a synchronous motor even when a power failure continues for several seconds by providing a specific capacitor voltage controller and the like, thereby matching the voltage phase of an inverter to the phase of the counterelectromotive force of the motor, and restarting the motor. CONSTITUTION:The charging voltage of the first capacitor 7 for holding the input side voltage of a power rectifier 2 at the prescribed value is detected to prevent the voltage of the condenser 7 from lowering. Further, the charging voltage of the second capacitor 8 at the DC input side of an inverter 4 is reduced to allow the voltage of the inverter 4 to follow up the reverse induced voltage of a synchronous motor 9. An auxiliary charging loop is provided in the inverter 4, is commutated after the first capacitor 7 is charged, when the instantaneous power failure occurs, the inverter 4 is temporarily stopped, the magnitude of the counterelectromotive force of the motor and the frequency of the motor are simultaneously detected, and when the power is recovered, the voltage phase of the inverter 4 is matched to the phase of the counterelectromotive force of the motor 9, which is thus synchronously operated again.
