Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable stable speed control of an electric motor vehicle even on a descent run by switching from a power drive motor to regenerative brake mode under the conditions that the current flow rate of a power drive chopper is lower than the prescribed value and the deviation between the vehicle speed instruction and the vehicle speed is higher than the prescrived value.
CONSTITUTION: A power drive-regenerative drive switching circuit 5 receives a signal from a brake switch 1, a signal from a speed control switch 2, a signal from an accelerator 3, a current flow rate signal A from a chopper 9 and a speed deviation signal B, and switches the chopper 9 to a regenerative brake mode when the current flow rate of the chopper 9 is lower than the prescribed value and the vehicle speed is higher than the vehicle speed instruction. An analog selecting circuit 6 controls the duty of the chopper 9 in accordance with the deviation between the vehicle speed and the vehicle speed instruction. In this manner, this controller can control stably the vehicle even on a descent run not only on the ascent and level runs.
