Abstract
PURPOSE:To make retransmission request, by changing a back tone signal only when errors are detected in received data blocks, through the use of the back tone signal consisting of a single frequency component as a backward signal. CONSTITUTION:Data outputted from a shift register 11 are given to a block number register 15, error detection circuit 18, and buffer memories 10-30. The circuit 18 makes error detection for each one block of received data, and a signal when no error is detected, is applied to an AND gate 17 and a back tone signal generating circuit 19 and a signal when errors are detected, is given to the back tone signal generating circuit 19. The circuit 19 transmits the retransmission request signal of a single frequency, i.e., a NACK signal via a backward channel.
