Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the setting of molds for manufacturing many kinds of boxes of different depth as single battery jars, by composing each mold of a main common mold unit for molding a bottom plate of fixed size and an accessory mold unit interchangeably coupled to the main mold unit. CONSTITUTION:Each of molds for manufacturing many kinds of boxes (whose depth depends on the number of electrode plates to be housed therein) as single battery jars is composed of a main common mold unit A for molding a bottom plate of fixed size and an accessory mold unit B interchargeably coupled to the main mold. The mold with side walls corresponding to the ddpth of the box consists of the main mold unit A and the interchangeable accessory mold unit B. A cavity 12 for molding the bottom plate of the box is defined by a female mold unit 10 and a male mold unit 11. An interchangeable mold unit 14 having a recess 15 for defining a cavity 13, which is continuous to the cavity 12 and serves to mold the side walls of the box, is provided. Various interchangeable mold units 14 with recesses 15 of different size can be used to compose diverse molds to manufacture many kinds of boxes.
