Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a blocking resistance toner which does not degrade copying quality despite multiple sheets of copying in flash fixing by contg. a specific ratio range of montanic acid ester wax together with carbon, a dye and a binder respectively in specific ratio ranges. CONSTITUTION:A toner contg. 1-20wt% montanic acid ester wax (''Ester Waxes E '' made by Hoechst AG, etc.) together with 0.6-8wt% carbon, 0- 5wt% a nigrosine-base dye, and 62-98.4wt% a binder resin is prepd. The >=95 weight of binder resin used is bisphenol A/epichlorohydrin type epoxy resin which is 60-160 deg.C m.p., about 450-5,500 epoxy equiv., and about 900- about 8.250 weight average mol.wt. Thereby, superior copies free from obscure printed character images and the formation of photographic fogs in background are obtained despite making copying of tens of thousands of sheets by flash fixing.
