Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide positive and negative types recording materials simultaneously, by a method wherein positive and negative types recording layers are opposed with each other so as to enable separation, and subjected to laser exposure. CONSTITUTION:Metal compound such as noncrystal germanium hydride is applied uniformly to polyethylene terephthalate on a substrate holder by means of vacuum deposition, spattering or the like so that metal thickness of about 300-1,300Angstrom is formed, thereby positive recording material is obtained. Negative recording material is obtained by applying polymer dispersion liquid of silver salt to a support body and drying it. The obtained negative material is overlaid on said positive material, and condensed laser beam such as argon ion laser is condensed and irradiated. Positive recording material with image drawn by the laser beam has portion being made completely white, and negative recording material has negative image being made completely black.
