Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the stuffing of fine dust into nozzle by a cleaning mechanism by cleaning the frontal side of the head while pushing out ink from the nozzle during the cleaning period. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning means 17 made of a rubber material, etc., is closely adhered to the frontal side of a nozzle 23 during the period when recording is stopped and is therefore capable of serving as a cover to prevent the clogging of the nozzle due to the drying of ink.
