Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the leakage of gas from a tank by pushing the gas by the water pressure when a crack occurs in the tank body, by receiving the water, of which level is as high as the specified value from the liquid surface of liquefied gas at low temperature, in the storing ditch provided around tank. CONSTITUTION:The sheet pile 5 is provided around the outside of the tank 1 having some proper intervals, and the water-storing ditch 6 dug in the proper depth is provided between the tank body 1 and the sheet pile 5. The water 7 is received in the storing ditch 6 of which water surface is kept at least more than 1 meter higher than the liquid surface of liquefied gas 8 at low temperature in the tank. Therefore, the liquefied gas at low temperature in the tank is pushed by the water pressure and does not leak out of the tank, if a crack occurs in the tank body 1, because the water pressure is always higher than the liquid pressure.
