Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent securely an underground tank for reservation of liquefied gas from being put into such a dangerous situation that the soil of the ground thereunder may be frozen, by utilizing hot water obtainable easily from the sea and rivers and the subsoil water in suitable combination. CONSTITUTION:At the lower part of its foundations rim, this underground tank 1 for reservation of liquefied gas is provided with a skirt open to the stralum and communication holes are bored in impermeable layer 5 so that subsoil water can permeate to the water reserving zone 9 from a water layer 6 in the lower part of the ground. Beside the tank 1, a water supply device 10 is installed to circulate water to the water reserving zone 9 from, for ex., the sea or rivers. This water supply device 10 is composed of a pump 3 and a service tank 4, to which the distribution tube 2 is connected with its one end and the other end shall be in communication with the water reserving zone 9. The tank 1 shall be equipped with drainage pump 7, to which the drainage pipe 8 in communication with the water reserving zone 9 is connected.
