Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the recording density, to increase the lifetime of a thermally sensitive recording head and to accelerate the recording speed by applying a low voltage to the head to record a thermally sensitive recording sheet with low density, then emitting a high intensity light, thereby selectively absorbing the light energy. CONSTITUTION:A thermally sensitive recording sheet 1 is fed in a direction of an arrow A, and a voltage lower than the conventional voltage is applied to a thermally sensitive recording head 3. A recording picture responsive to the transmitted picture signal is recorded in a pale density on the sheet 1. Then, the sheet is cut in the prescribed length into individual recording sheets 8, a high intensity light is emitted from a high intensity light emitting device 7 to the overall surface of the sheets 8. Then, only the pale color recorded part absorbs the light energy, and accordingly increases its recording density.
