A heat generator 30 is provided opposedly to an optical head 20, and thus the tape 15 is held between the generator 30 and the head 20. The generator 30 consists of a thermal head and gives the discoloration to the layer 15-4. This discolored part can be viewed through a transparent part of the cassette tape.
