Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a trouble caused by overall blocking inside of the gas duct of a heat exchanger, by blowing soot with giving a predetermined change in temperature to the part where a blocking is caused by adhesive and holding the temperature while a soot blowing operation is taken place.
CONSTITUTION: The air for combustion, passing through a heat exchanger of rotating and regenerating type 3 is shut off, by fully opening a damper 6 for the bypass of a gas duct of heat exchanger 3, on the other hand, fully closing dampers 5 and 7 for the same, at the time the load factor to a plant is about 50%. With such an arrangement, the temperature inside of a heat exchanger 3 is raised and held within the range about 250W300°C. In this condition, soot is blown from a soot blowing unit by a soot blowing medium, of which pressure is larger than about 0.1kg/cm2G. According to the above arrangement, the soot inside of a gas duct of a heat exchanger 3 is effectively blown, as a result, overall blocking of a gas duct is prevented.
