Abstract

PURPOSE:To rationalize pickling processes by controlling the flow rates of the acids recovered by concn. and regeneration of waste acids from a pickling vessel, industrial water and fresh acids to maibtain the concn. of ready mixed acids constant and supplying the ready mixed acids to the pickling vessel. CONSTITUTION:A steel strip or the like is fed continuously to a pickling vessel 1, and after prescribed pickling work, it is delivered to the outside of the vessel. The waste acids from the vessel 1 are concd, and regenerated in a recovering acid installation 2, and are stored in a recovered acid tank 3. The respective detection signals of a densitometer 33 and a flowmeter 34 for recovered acids, a flowmeter 61 for undustrial water, a densitometer 37 and a flowmeter 74 for fresh acids, and level gage 41, a densitomter 83, and a flowmeter 82 for ready mixed acids in a feed acid tank 4 are fed to a controller 5. Receiving the respective detection signals, the controller 5 compares these with respective set values, and feed respective flow rate control signals to flow rate regulating valves 35, 62, 75, thereby controlling the concn. of the ready mixed acids to a target concn. and maintaining the level of the ready mixed acids constant. A flow rate regulating valve 81 is controlled by the controller 5 to maintain the flow rate of the ready mixed acids to be supplied to the vessel 1 constant.
