Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a circuit with a construction simpler than an analog circuit by a method wherein a simple arithmetic process is used to yield a pulse width modulated wave resulting in a significant reduction in the number of memory devices. CONSTITUTION:A microprocessor 9 reads the operating frequency and the voltage set in a setter circuit 8. The microprocessor 9 then reads from the memory device 10 the number of fundamental pulses specified for the operating frequency and transfers the number to an externally located frequency divider 12 wherein the number is set. On the other hand,a reference oscillator 11 generates a fundamental frequency which is supplied after frequency division to an externally located timer 13. Further, the set value of voltage is read for the computation of the time lengths of voltage application and non-aplication, which time lengths are stored in a memory device 14 capable of both writing and deleting. The microprocessor 9 then causes the output port 15 to sequentially yields pulses that are necessary to operate a gate circuit 16 turning off and on the main circuit controlling device 7.
