Abstract
PURPOSE: To aim at reducing driving torque by disposing two pistons into a cylinder in a regulator and by selectively supplying pressure fluid into a cylinder chamber so that a minimum displacement of one piston can be set by the displacement of the other piston.
CONSTITUTION: When a directional control valve 14 is in the position of A, pressure fluid discharged from a hydraulic pump 12 is supplied into a cylinder chamber 11 so that a piston 9 is pushed leftward with its end face 9a being projected into a pressure chamber 7. Therefore, when pilot pressure acting to the pressure chamber 7 is lower than a predetermined value, a piston 5 abuts against the end face 9a of the piston 9 under the bias force of a spring 6, thereby the minimum value of the effective volume takes a value of 1/4W1/5 of the maximum value thereof. When the directional control valve 14 is changed to the position of B, the cylinder chamber 11 is communicated with a tank 13, causing the piston 5 to abut against an end face 4c of a casing 4 under the bias force of spring 6, thereby the effective volume becomes almost zero. Thus, the minimum value of the effective volume can easily be set by controlling the directionaly control valve 14, thereby to reduce driving torque.
