Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce heat loss from a heat collecting plate, by constructing a water heater generally in the form of a square, thin box by applying a layer of a transparent FRP (fiber reinforced plastics) over the upper surface of a selective absorption film on a heat collecting plate, and disposing a flat, hot- water storing container.
CONSTITUTION: A flat, hot-water storing container 7 is placed in a casing 5 of plastics shaped in the form of a thin box, and a heat-insulating material 6 is charged around the container 7 in the manner of encircling the same. Further, a metal plate 8 having heat collecting tubes 9 fixed to the lower surface thereof and a selective absorption film 10 applied over the upper surface is disposed above the hot-water storing container 7, and a layer of a transparent FRP (fiber reinforced plastics) 11 is applied further over the surface of said selective absorption film 10. In the drawing, a numeral 12 represents a heat-insulating plate.
