Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the required amount of silver-copper brazing filler as a whole of magnetron, by welding the end of the exhaust tube and the circumferential end of the tubular member to the output section of an electron tube comprising the tubular member and the insulator brazed with the outer circumference of said tubular member. CONSTITUTION:The tubular member 14 is formed into a bottomed tube having the fitting section 14a extending tubularly along an exhaust tube 2 to be fitted with the central through-hole, then the end section of the exhaust tube 2 is assembled at the end section of the fitting section to be flush and said end section is welded through the arc or plasma welding under inert gas environment. In such a manner the exhaust tube 2 and the tubular member 14 can be handled as an integrated one in other process, thereby it requires no expensive silver-copper wax resulting in an inexpensive magnetron.
