Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent copied picture and to heat and fix a toner picture simultaneously, by dehumidifying and drying a photoreceptor efficiently in a short time by providing a high-frequency heating means. CONSTITUTION:A high-frequency generator consisting of a magnetron 8 generating an electromagnetic wave and a waveguide 9 has opening parts 12 and 10 facing a photosensitive drum 1 and a carriage path for paper 11 to be copied. The lower opening part 10 of the waveguide 9 is used for fixing a toner picture on the transfer paper. Further, the opening part 12, closer to the photoreceptor 1, of the waveguide 9 is used for dehumidifying the photoreceptor. While the photoreceptor is rotated for tens of seconds after switch is closed, high-frequency drying and dehumidifying are performed, and then copying operation is started, so that an excellent picture is obtained as even the 1st copy.
