PURPOSE:To obtain an accurate and rapid characteristics of a motor for setting various speeds and against the disturbance by automatically controlling the speed reference value with a signal based on the fundamental formula of a motor at the armature current and terminal voltage. CONSTITUTION:An arithmetic unit 13 introduces an armature current Ia, a terminal voltage V via a current transformer 4 and a transformer 12 from the circuit of a motor 3, thereby calculates the fundamental formula K1(V-IaRa)/phi of the motor, where K1 represents a constant, V terminal voltage, Ia motor current, Ra armature resistance, phi magnetic flux. A current transformer 61 receives a deviation between the speed reference 1 and the rotating speed detection signal and outputs a speed reference value as a reference. A converter 15 receives the second speed deviation between the reference speed and the feedback value from the arithmetic unit 13 and outputs an armature terminal voltage reference.
