Abstract
PURPOSE:To attenuate the suddenly increased input current when the line voltage of an electric-car is boosted by a method wherein a frequency setting value is set at a zero point when the amount of deviation of the input current on the side of a motor for the period of time exceeded the established value. CONSTITUTION:A frequency setting control circuit 20 sets the output of a frequency establishing device 17 at zero point when the amount of deviation di/dt of the input current of the motor 5 detected by a di/dt detecting circuit 18 against time exceeded the di/dt set value established at a di/dt establishing device 19. Accordingly, a frequency controlling device 13 allows the motor to increase counter electromotive force and decrease an input current by controlling the current on the separate excitation winding 9 of a DC compound motor 5. The frequency setting value returns its former position when the set value of di/dt of the motor side input current drops below the established value. Through these procedures, period of time wherein an input current is increased can be reduced.
