Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the removal efficincy of SOx and to make a titled device simple and small by including water or oxygen into waste gases prior to adsorption and removal of sulfur oxide thereby conditioning the waste gases.
CONSTITUTION: After the waste gas of a boiler 1 is passed through a denitrating device 3, it is cooled in an air preheater 5. Cooling water through a piping 10 for supplying cooling water in contact with a piping 8 is included into the waste gas from the preheater 5. The waste gas included with the cooling water is captured and separated of dust in an electrical dust precipitator 7, after which it is adsorbed away of SOx in an adsorption tower 11, and is released as a purified gas through a piping 15. The adsorbent adsorbed with SOx is conducted through a piping 12 into a desorption tower 14, where it is heated and regenerated. This adsorbent is again returned into the tower 11 through a piping 13. The desorbed gaseous SO2 of a high concn. from a desorption tower 14 is fed through a piping 16 into a sulfur recovery device 17, by which it is recoveed as single substance sulfur 18. The tail gas after recovery of the single substance sulfur is reflowed to the precipitator 7 through a piping 23 so that the remaining SO2 is adsorbed and recovered. It is equally well to supply oxygen and steam for conditioning to the piping 9 in lieu of the cooling water through the piping 10.
