Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect a level variation of a picture signal by a chopper keying signal, and to correct its variation automatically, by mixing a signal which has discriminated make and break of a photochopper placed on an incident optical path of a pyroelectric image pickup device, and a vertical or horizontal fly-back line signal obtained from the image pickup device. CONSTITUTION:Infrared rays radiated from an object to be photographed 1 are made to form an image on a pyroelectric vidicon target 11 of a pyroelectric vidicon 3 through an infrared lens 2 and a photochopper 8, and are converted to an electric signal. This signal is amplified by a pre-amplifier 4 and a process amplifier 5, and is sent out as a standard TV signal. Also, horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals are generated by a timing circuit 6, also a photochopper driving circuit 9 for driving the chopper 8, synchronizing with the vertical synchronizing signal is operated, whether the chopper 8 is make or break is discriminated by a photochopper make and break discriminating circuit 7, and a photochopper keying signal is generated by the circuit 6. This keying signal and a picture signal from the amplifier 5 are mixed by a mixer 10, and a level variation of the picture signal is corrected automatically.
